Sunday, May 16, 2010–Rest Day/”Free” Day
Workout: I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill at a 10.0 incline/3.0 mph while watching E! News, hence the Michelle Bombshell McGee reference in today’s post. I’m sorry.
- Meal 1: Berry Protein Hot Cereal (1 scoop Sun Warrior, 1/4 c. oat bran, 1/4 c. wheat bran cooked in water then blended with whipped topping, strawberries and blueberries)
- Meal 2: Veggies and tempeh bowl (1 serving of tempeh, 1 c. steamed broccoli, 1 carrot, 1/2 a chopped red pepper, Bragg’s amino acids, lime juice and stevia) + a slice of Ezekiel bread with hummus
- Meal 3: Pea Daddy and I shared a Clif Mojo Bar and a Zevia root beer
- Meal 4: Whole Foods Salad Bar, twice this week!!! (spinach, lots of veggies, hummus, chana masala, side salads, lots of tofu, etc.)

- Meal 5: Protein Chocolate PB Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1 c. almond milk, 1 T. peanut butter, 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein and 2 T. TruWhip)

Still having some mouth pain, so my eats are a little softer than usual. Lucky for me, I can now puree everything!
Workout: HIIT (speed ranging from 6.5-9)
- Meal 1: Pumpkin Protein Bran Blend (1 scoop Sun Warrior protein, 1/4 c. oat bran, 1/4 c. wheat bran, 1/4 c. pumpkin , stevia, almond milk and almond butter)
- Meal 2: Green Smoothie (1/2 banana, spinach, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein, 1/2 scoop Olympian Labs Pea Protein, 1/4 c. OJ, 1 c. almond milk, ice, xanthan gum)
- Meal 3: Chocolate Protein Cake with White Chocolate Wonderful PB (1/2 scoop Sun Warrior, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein, stevia, sea salt, 1/4 t. baking powder, almond milk, nuked for 1 minute and topped with PB)
- Meal 4: Gardein Beefless Tips Stirfry (spinach, broccoli slaw, mushrooms, snow peas, Gardein Beefless Tips and almonds)

- Meal 5: Protein Rocky Road Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1/4 c. almonds, 1/2 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum and 2 T. TruWhip)

Today was a challenge given my root canal, early morning wake-up to workout and numb mouth for half the day. Still, I made it work!
Workout: Exercise TV On Demand Chris Freytag’s Lower Body Workout+ 15 minutes ab work (straight leg crunches, full crunches with dumbbell, reverse crunches, windshield wipers, bicycle crunches).
- Meal 1: Strawberry Chocolate Protein shake (1 scoop Sun Warrior protein, 1 c. frozen strawberries, 1 c. almond milk, ice, stevia, 1 c. spinach, 2 T. cocoa powder, 1/2 t. xanthan gum)
- Meal 2: Veggies and Meatball Bowl (3 meatless meatballs, 1 c. steamed broccoli, 1 carrot, 1/2 a chopped red pepper, Bragg’s amino acids, lime juice and stevia) + a slice of Ezekiel bread with hummus
- Meal 3: Chocolate Protein Cake with almond butter (1 scoop Sun Warrior, stevia, 2 T. almond milk, 1 T. cocoa powder, 1/4 t. baking powder, microwaved for 1 minute and topped with almond butter)
- Meal 4: Whole Foods Salad Bar (spinach, lots of veggies, hummus, chana masala, side salads, lots of tofu, etc.)

- Meal 4: Morningstar Chicken Grillers patty with a side of spinach, steamed broccoli and cauliflower
- Meal 5: Protein Rocky Road Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1/4 c. almonds, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum and 2 T. TruWhip)

Today was the first day where it really felt like a struggle to stick to the plan. I was tired and munchy all day, and I had to get up at 5 a.m. to get my workout in. Yawwwwwwn.
Workout: Exercise TV On Demand Chris Freytag’s Upper Body Workout+ 15 minutes ab work (straight leg crunches, full crunches with dumbbell, reverse crunches, windshield wipers, bicycle crunches).
- Meal 1: Strawberry Chocolate Protein shake (1 scoop Sun Warrior protein, 1 c. frozen strawberries, 1 c. almond milk, ice, stevia, 1 c. spinach, 2 T. cocoa powder, 1/2 t. xanthan gum)
- Meal 2: Few raw veggies (carrots, cucumbers, red peppers) and a Clif Mojo bar
- Meal 3: “Meatball” Salad (4 meatless meatballs, 1 c. steamed broccoli, 1 carrot, 1/2 a chopped red pepper, Bragg’s amino acids, lime juice, stevia and 1 T. hummus, topped with Ezekiel croutons)
- Meal 4: Oatmeal Raisin Protein Cookie Dough (1 scoop Sun Warrior, 1 t. almond butter, 1 T. oats, 2 T. almond milk, few raisins, cinnamon, stevia)
- Meal 5: Tofu mini frittatas (recipe developed for book) + steamed carrots, broccoli and green beans
- Meal 6: Protein Rocky Road Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1/4 c. almonds, 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum and 2 T. TruWhip)

- Meal 3: Chocolate Protein Cake with White Chocolate Wonderful PB (1/2 scoop Sun Warrior, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein, stevia, sea salt, 1/4 t. baking powder, almond milk, nuked for 1 minute and topped with PB)
- Meal 4: Indian Shepherd’s Pie (a book recipe) with a side of spinach, steamed broccoli and cauliflower
- Meal 5: Protein Rocky Road Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1/4 c. almonds, 1 T. Nutribiotic Rice Protein 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum and 2 T. TruWhip)

I know I said I was going to switch it up, but old CF is still kicking my butt and I’m getting good results, so if it ain’t broke, keep doing it until it breaks
- Meal 1: Strawberry Protein shake (1 scoop Sun Warrior protein, 1 c. frozen strawberries, 1 c. almond milk, ice, stevia, 1/2 t. xanthan gum)

- Meal 2: Few raw veggies (carrots, cucumbers, red peppers) and 1/2 a Clif Mojo bar
- Meal 3: “Meatball” Salad (4 meatless meatballs, 1 c. steamed broccoli, 1 carrot, 1/2 a chopped red pepper, Bragg’s amino acids, lime juice, stevia and 1 T. hummus, topped with Ezekiel croutons)
- Meal 4: Fruit-in-the-bottom coconut milk yogurt mixed with 1 scoop Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder

- Meal 5: Large green salad from Sweet Tomatoes (romaine, spinach, carrots, broccoli, beets, chickpeas, vinaigrette) + other half of my Mojo bar
- Meal 6: Protein Rocky Road Ice Cream (1 serving silken tofu, 1/4 c. almonds, 2 T. cocoa powder, stevia, ice, xanthan gum and 2 T. TruWhip)
