Another One Is On Its Way (GIVEAWAY)
Do I seem like I’ve been a little scatter-brained lately?
Are you suspicious that I’m so determined to give up caffeine?
I haven’t even told you that I’ve been going to bed before 10 pm every night. My DVR is so confused.
Pea Daddy found it odd that I bawled and sniffled for a good thirty minutes this weekend after watching the “Dear Sophie” Google Chrome ad featuring home videos, photos and emails a dad has sent to his daughter over the course of her childhood. (Have you watched this? It should be both illegal for hormonal women and mandatory for new dads.)
The explanation for all of these things is really simple—there’s another one on its way.
Another book that is.
And I’ve been staying up too late, drinking too much coffee and getting all emotional while we were trying to secure the deal. But now, the deal is done, and the fun begins.
Coconut Cream Donuts
Super Spinach Salad
Kung Pao Tofu
Meatless Meatball Subs
Thin Mint Cookies
…and many, many more.
We don’t have a title yet. We don’t have a release date. But we do have a plan:
Lots of totally new recipes.
A few of your favorites. (Mmmm Sauce, anyone?)
Many Pea family stories.
Plus the added feature that each recipe will indicate whether or not they are freezable, lunch box-friendly, an economic value per serving, lighter in calories and fat and if they were inspired by a famous favorite.
I am already having a great time putting this new manuscript together, and I have to tell you, we’ve been eating some really delicious food. (See pictures above.)
But there would be no second book without the first, and all of you who have supported us by buying the book, telling others about it and coming here every day. So for that, I want to say thank you!
What better way to say thank you than with dough balls? (Is there any other way?)
![]()
I’ll pick one winner at random from the comments to receive a batch of dough balls of your choice (original, light or gluten-free) and an autographed copy of our first book.
![]()
To enter, just leave a comment including one thing you’d like to see in a second volume of P&TY, be it a recipe, a feature or more pictures of Pea Kitty. (Yeah, that’s not going to happen.)
I’ll announce the winner in Sunday night’s post.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

I suggest some gluten free baked good recipes. Thanks!
Easy and non-expensive ways to modify recipes to be gluten free! Yummmm
More recipes that can be eaten on-the-go!
I just discovered your blog and I am in love! I have been wanting to move toward a vegetarian (possibly vegan). I need to snag a copy of the cookbook. I love trying out your recipes and reading about your wonderful family!
I am sooo excited for your second book!!! I would like to see more recipes that offer a protein source that is not tofu (not good for hypothyroid). Cogratulations
Congratulations!! I love the first book, and I know I’ll love the second just as much.
I’d love to see more quick breakfast recipes!
I would love to see more main dishes that had did not use soy. As a current soy free vegan (I nurse and the baby has a sensitivity to soy) I can only think of so many ways to make beans.
Congratulations!!!! I love recipes that only require a few ingredients!
I’m all for slow cooker meals – but maybe that’s just the season!
SO EXCITED – congrats!!!!!
I LOVE the idea of budget-friendly/economical ideas. I love ALL your recipeas, but have to substitute some ingredients that are hard to find or that aren’t cheap. I’m a broke college student!!! Also, a section on the health benefits of the various ingredients is always a favorite when I pick up a new vegan/vegetarian cookbook. The superfood awesomeness of kale, the wholesome goodness of flaxseed, and the comparisons of different ‘milks’ (soy, almond, oat, etc) are always fun to read. So, I guess more along the lines of ‘vegan education’ and the benefits of choosing that lifestyle!
Thank you for helping me eat the healthy (and animal-friendly) way!
PS – I was crossing my fingers it was news about a baby! But a new cookbook is wonderful news, too!!!
I would love to see more 30 min or less meals and crock pot recipes. With three kids- and TONS of homework- the time available for prepping and cooking dinner is so compressed it is CRAZY!! I need FAST FAST FAST healthy foods!! My family thanks you!!!
Hi Sarah,
My boyfriend and I decided to cut meat out of our diet about 2 months ago; (has been a bit challenging as we just bought a house and currently have no kitchen… hello crockpot!) I did a search for veggie crockpot meals, and I found your african peanut stew and I have been hooked ever since! You really do have a talent for writing along with your talent for preparing delicious food (your posts always have me laughing and drooling!) Congratulaiton on your success so far and I’m really looking forward to the second book. I really enjoy thai food, do you have or could you come up with pad thai recipea?
Pad Thai is in the first book!
Oh man! You are veganizing thin mint cookies?! I am so, so excited! Consider the book sold, whenever it is released!
Here is something to consider making vegan…gooey butter cake! Delicious and local St. Louis treat, it calls for waaay too much butter, but is totally amazing!
Thanks! Can’t wait for the new book!
Oh my- I lived in St. Louis for 18 years and love and miss gooey butter cake! So delicious!
Congrats Mama Pea! Looking forward to your new book of yumminess!
Congrats on the second book! I would like to see fast breakfast ideas.
Congratulations! So excited for you and your family. I think besides food photos, you should let the girls illustrate their favorite meals and include a quote or two on their thoughts. Kid’s artwork and words makes me smile and your girls have been so creative with past drawings, projects, and pickle songs
.
I woul love to see veggie stir fry recipes with some of your amazing sauces. Congrats on book number two!
I’d love to see shopping ideas! maybe include a way for people to be vegan on a budget, or walk us through your shopping process
I’d love to see more recipes for vegan eggs! Hope I win! Thank you!
I would love to see some veg meals that can be frozen, reheated and still delicious!
Congratulations on the next book!
Wow! Congrats, you deserve all the wonderful things that have happened to you. I always tell my students (and my 21 yr old brother, who makes bad choice after bad choice), do good and good things will come to you!
I would love to see more slow cooker recipeas!
Congratulations! I’d love to see more slow-cooker recipes!
I would love to see more make-ahead meals for us busy ladies who come home from a long day of work and are ready to eat!
How exciting! Congrats! I’d love to see more crock pot meals and more appetizers. Yaay!
I love everything I’ve made from the first book, and can’t wait for the next. Congratulations Mama Pea!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so excited for you and for another book! I would love to see more “freezable” meals and prep-ahead meals.
Hahaha when you said you had given up caffeine and cried at the dear sophie thing (well i cried too…) and had another one on the way, I thought you were pregnant!! I still haven’t gotten around to buying the first book but I really want it so I’m telling my friends (christmas is in only 3 months, right?). In a new book I’d like to see a recipe for flourless chocolate cake, labels for if a recipe is gluten free, and the kung pao tofu looks delish!!! Have a fab weekend!
I’d like to see more freezable dinners that you can make ahead of time in large quantities!
More recipes for the holidays .. yummy sides and pies!
That video made me tear up! Google always has the best commercials….
I’d like to see more crock pot recipes! Congrats on the second book!
Congrats! I am so glad to hear that you will doing another book. I would love to see more Gluten Free meals and treats.
I’d love to see more “pealightful” recipeas–even though you always make real food, sometimes it’s nice to keep track of calories/fat after I’ve spent a week eating dough
Congrats to you and your Pea family! I would love for you to veganize chicken and dumplings
I would also like more fix-ahead recipes for easy lunch-packing throughout the week. Your new recipea teasers look amazing…
Congrats on the new book! I’d love to see even more desserts, and as always, the more pea stories the better!
Congratulations. I’d love to see sauce recipes and quinoa recipes .
a second one in the works already!! You are amazing. I would like to see more sneaking in the veggies/toddler recipes and wannabe recipes of clif Z bars. : )
Yay!! Congratulations on the new book. As a collage student, I would love to see some quick and easy lunch or dinner recipes.
Alrighty then, after blubbering my way through the Dear Sophie clip while at the same time listening to my own Sophie ask me to make her cheese and crackers melted, but only melted enough that the cheese stays square on the cracker, I think a PMS section in the cookbook would be much appreciated—chocolate, coffee anyone????
Congrats! Praise God! What a huge blessing for you! Your first book just came in at the library and I can’t wait to get it. (I promise to buy if it I get the job for which I’m interviewing next week!)
In the next book, I’d like to see some sections titled “Pea Daddy Speaks” or something where he shares his thoughts about eating a vegan diet or the benefits of a vegan diet. Or maybe even Tommy Bahama products…
gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! yesss yess yesssss =))))))))
my mom just look at my weird for squealing
Congrats!
I’d like to see nutrition break downs…
I would like to see a Pea Daddy recipe. I know he is challenge when it comes to culinary arts but…it would be fun to challenge him and give him the spotlight in the new book…plus I can imagine what your preface to that recipe will be like
Congrats on the second book deal!!
awesome!! I would like more crock pot meals!
I would love to see some recipes for one! It’s just me around here and although I do love leftovers, after the third or fourth day, it sorta gets boring!
So excited to hear there’s going to be another book! Yaaaaaay!
Wow that Kung Pao tofu looks amazing!!!!! Let us know as soon as me can pre-order it
Plus I love the idea of all those little icons! I live by myself, so when I cook a recipea, I often eat it over and over until it’s gone, but if I knew it would be okay to freeze certain reipeas then I could introduce more variety into my diet! Love it!
So exciting, a new book. One of my husband’s favorite meals is my vegan “chicken” pot pie. Would love to see your take on that old comfort food
this is so awesome !!! I hope to have a vegan cookbook today just like you and a food network show!! love that i can say i “know” you from reading your blog haha
I would love to see more ideas for healthy snacks. I am always wondering what to eat before bed that won’t weigh me down but that I can munch on for about thirty minutes
I’d love to see some kind of sauerkraut-vegan bratwurst- German-type dish
Oh my goodness, congratulations! I would love to see more sauces and stories.
Wow, congratulations!! (and I totally believed you were pregnant! haha!) I love, love, love the first book Sarah!
It is so great, so many healthy recipes, that it is hard to think of something else to add to it. I would love to see more muffin ideas and maybe more eggplant recipes! Yum!
Ana
Hello Mama Pea!
I am a French “Mama” from Paris, I discovered your blog just a couple of weeks ago.
The more I explore it, the more I find it amazing, funny, useful, smart, moving, generous…
Thank you for such a great work!
And congratulations for the new book, it’s a great adventure, I wish you a lot of joy.
I am discovering the richness of the vegan food-world, it’s impressive. France is not the easiest country to find vegan products, but it gets better every day.
There is something that I would be very glad to find in a vegan cookbook: a list of home-made products that could easily replace the processed vegan products that are not easy to find everywhere, for example home-made substitutes for vegenaise or toffutti etc.
All the best to you and your family, congratulations again for the new book.
(Please feel free to not put me in the list for the prize, I would totally understand if you don’t want to send a copy of your book to France!)
Although the Thin Mint Cookie looks amazing, I would love to see more quick bread recipes!
Wow, this book is going to be a good’n! I’d love to see some smoothie recipes, or healthy baking recipes (cookies, brownies, cake etc…mm!) thanks for this giveway, it’s great!
oh, and good luck!
congrats on book 2! so excited; i make your recipes all the time.
i’d love to see some more gluten-free recipes.
I LOVE your entree recipes…they’re so healthy and wonderful. My fingers are triple crossed! Thank you!
YES! such happy news.
but it would be so wonderful if you indicated the gluten free recipes! please please please! my little sister just got diagnosed with celiac and that would add ease. obv it’s easy to not which recipes have gluten by a glance through, but still… think it would be a great contribution!
Well, considering it’s only the 3rd week of school and I’m already out of lunch ideas I would say, more kid-friendly packable lunches. Can’t wait for the 2nd book!
I would love to see a section or a few recipes that require 6 ingredients or less. Simple, easy, delicious. I’m having baby #2 in about 3 weeks so simple is key over here right now!
Expecting baby #2 in 3 weeks means I am looking for simplicity. I would love to see some simple 6 ingredient recipes!
congrats on your new book! just stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago and am inspired to cook vegan! can’t wait to try your new recipes; they look great!
Congrats!! so excited for the new book
Love love love your recipes. The Zuchini Quinoa Lasagne is one of the best meals I’ve ever made! I would love to see more stews and soups in the next book…and perhaps a really zesty bran muffin?? I need me a good muffin in the mornin…but my bran muffins as of late have been rather bland…
xoKristina
Love your recipes now, but would love to see more sugar free desserts (since you asked…preferably with stevia or a little fruit sweetened.) My sugar sensitive self would love that! =) Congratulations on #2!!
I’d love to see more family-friendly dinner recipes! Can’t get enough of those!
P.S I had your pumpkin cream pie oat bran this morning from your book. I didn’t have oat bran, so I used rolled oats and it worked great! Mmm, and it was so good and tasted just like pumpkin pie filling! I added 4 heaping tsp. of brown sugar for a little sweetness. Even my mom loved it and went for seconds which surprised me!
Congrats! I’d love to see some more complete meal plans. Maybe some recipes with ingredients that overlap, so that I can save trips to the store.
Congrats on your new book! I really enjoy your blog, so I am excited for you! I like the idea of including nutritional stats…those dough balls of gooey goodness are addictive.
Best of luck in writing.
I’d love to see some more muffin recipes – I always love muffins, and especially in the fall!
Congratulations on the second book deal! I love your book–fabulous pictures, stories, and, of course, recipes. I would love to see more “on the go” recipes. Things I can make ahead of time that my husband I can grab in the morning for a healthy breakfast or to pack in our lunches. You are awesome!
I love the idea of more freezable and crockpot meals — anything I can do ahead.
Thanks!
OMG i can’t believe it!! This is soo exciting! I’m still obsessed with the first! I’d love to see some more tempeh recipes and some more easy salad dressings! And I loooove the wannabe recipes
What about a cheesy potato casserole??
those dougnots look great. have you ever thought about including receipes for pets? i know mine would be interested in some veggie recipes.
well in releasing the 200 pounds I have released.. I have followed the 3 bite rule for desserts and such so I guess what I woudlike to see is tidbits things that taste good and are about three bites easy on the waistline
congrats on a second book..
just found your blog while i was in the hospital, but I am loving it.
So excited for the new book! A big congrats to you!! I would love to see more quick, easy-made meals. I work long hours and want to be able to throw something healthy together when I’m home from work without spending too much time in the kitchen
I’d love to see more recipes that can be dressed up and served to guests at inner or cocktail parties. I love introducing my friend and family to vegan cooking that make them forget what ISN’T in there and focus on all the delicious things that ARE in the recipe.
Congrats! I’ve really enjoyed the Wannabe Recipe series, and it’s challenged me to be more creative in my own kitchen. Glad to read that will be a part of the second book and I hope to see that symbol on many of the pages.
This is great news! The first book was amazing, so I can only imagine how great this one will be. I would love to see more Indian inspired dishes. I cook a lot of Indian food and am always looking for new ideas!
More Pea Kitty
I’m going to cheat and say anything you’ll put in there will be amazing
i love your salad recipes, they’re so creative!!
thanks to you Sarah i took the plunge and made tofu for the first time!
where can i find a tofu press??
I’m so excited. Love the first cookbook and I’m so excited there’s going to be more because I can’t get enough. I would love to see more quick and easy meals for a family, slow cooker and freezer meals. Also a ranch dressing without soy and as Andi commented earlier a pull un-pork sandwich. Thanks for making healthy eating easier. BTW, I’m absolutely addicted to your crack wraps.
How about an Oreo blizzard! I would just absolutely cry tears of joy if you could do that!
Oh! Congrats! What exciting news…for you, us…it’s a win win for all.
Well, I would love for you to post some fun cake pop recipes! How adorable are they?!
I am so excited for you. I was actually thinking that although I really like this cookbook, it does seem like you played it safe a bit. Perhaps to make it easier for some families to picture themselves eating this way, and I totally get that. In your next book I would like to see some crazy creative Mama Pea recipes. Hey, quinoa lasanga anyone? Pure genius!
I would love to see some super quick dinners and some lunch ideas. I always get in a lunch rut.
We are going on 7 members in our family now. I saw the little freezer icon and that is what I need. Stuff that freezes well and meals that make some freezeable leftovers.
Yah!!! Congrats
I am new to nutritional yeast so maybe an enchilada sauce??
Congrats! How exciting for you. Can’t wait to buy book #2. I would love to see vegan quesadilla or panini recipes
I would love to see some kid friendly breakfast recipes! Looking forward to the next installment!
I would like recipes for one-two people, or easy recipes to make for work. I haven’t seen the first book, but I love the recipes on your blog, and would be super excited to get the book!
Congrats on the new book! I have loved your first book. My husband and I are eating a lot more vegetarian dishes (brought on originally from high cholesterol), and loving your recipes, thank you!
I would love to see some “make ahead” options. I like to prep some dishes on the weekend, or the week night before, to make the “getting home from work/school” time less stressful. Something that can sit in the fridge for a day or a couple days! Crock pot meals would be awesome too. I’m sure it will all be great!
I’m so excited there is going to be another book!!! I have convinced some people at work to go meat free from time to time because of your book and some have become as obsessed with it as I am! I can’t wait to read more hilarious stories from you in the new book!
Would love to see lots of crock pot recipes!
Ideas for quick and healthy kid’s lunches!
congrats! Very excited! I am always pleased when cookbook authors note which recipes freeze well OR taste better after a few days. I’m also a fan of big-batch cooking and prefer it when recipes develop flavor over the course of a good sit. Please make note of which do, if possible! Thanks!!
When can I pre-order?! (Side note: I legitimately thought you were pregnant until the fourth sentence or so of the post.)
I love reading your personal anecdotes and would love to see lunches I can take to school as well as even more dinners I can get my meat-eating family (minus me) to eat.
Woohoo, looking forward to the new one (as I continue to cook and eat my way through the first – loving it!). I would love to see approximate times listed for each recipe…prep time, cook time, total time. I’m really bad at estimating how long tasks will take, so being able to see that at the beginning of each recipe would be super helpful to me in figuring out what meals would be manageable on busy weeknights vs. more leisurely days.
Hi Sarah! I would love to see bran muffins and Lebanese foods! Thanks, keep up the great work!
I loved your first book! I can’t wait for the encore. I was so happy to see the first book include nutritional facts and would love the second book to as well. As a diabetic it is so helpful to have a breakdown. There were many recipes that I thought would be difficult to incorporate into my diet and was pleasantly surprised to see that they pretty much all worked! I would also love to see more smoothie recipes. Your margarita smoothie is my go (got me off diet coke and caffeine) smoothie!
You had me fooled for a second! Three adds just the right amount of chaos. Just sayin
Love your first book and can’t wait for the next one!! Crock pot dinners are great so maybe some of those in the new one?? Thank you for all your hard work!!
Congratulations on the book deal- you are such an inspiration! I’d love to see some more single-serving recipes. I’m living alone currently, so recipes for one are a blessing, and they’re easy to double when I cook for my boyfriend!
Mama Pea, We have loved your recipeas! My husband and I take lunch to work every day, so more lunch ideas and/or cook once, eat twice would be grand.
I love pea Kitty! How about Salad dressings. I have the hardest time finding a lower fat dressing that tastes good. Also a chapter to make husbands happy.
I would love to see more cookie recipes (can you ever really have enough?)!
I would love to see more slow cooker type recipes, as I’m slowly incorporating more meatless meals into our repertoire. And, actually… I’d like to see stealthed pictures of Pea Kitty… you know, like “find Pea Kitty in this one!” kind of things. It could be fun for kids reading the book! (And us slightly OCD adults, too…)
–Wendy
Woo-hoo, a new book! I’d love to see more microwavable recipes, such as a microwave apple crisp recipe. (Fall makes me crave apple goodies.) And I’d also love to read more of your great stories with each and every recipe!
I’d like to see recipeas introduced and worded by the girls. “Twould no doubt be hilarious and adorable. And they would get a “co-author” credit…. or at least listing as contributors. Get ‘em signed up to a “no share of the royalties” deal first though!
Ooooh, congratulations!
I’d love to see more casserole recipes because they mean comfort food to me and are easier to portion out – good for someone like me with zero self-control around soups/stir-fries/…
Oh, and my fellow students would like to say thanks for your Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls. They requested me to bring them to uni again as soon as possible.
I would love to see more meals that are convenient and easy to make! I’m a college student trying to finish up my degree in Nutrition and I work two jobs! I love your meals and would love to make them on the go! Congratulations on your second book!
Congrats! I would love to see more casserole type dishes- you throw everything together, bake it and it’s done.
I would love to see more tofu recipeas, slow cooker recipeas and lunch box ideas! Yay for a new cookbook!!!!!!
Congrats on the book! I’d love to see recipes for the basics ie Mayo, peanut butter, ketchup etc. Also some lunchbox fillers, kids party ideas and healthy low sugar desserts I can feel happy about giving my fussy little girl.
I think it would be great to see a seasonal cookbook, like a book full of your best Fall recipes, a book full of your best Winter recipes and so on
Congrats on the book it’s AMAZING!!!
Congratulations!! I’d love to see more Pea Daddy approved ” man meals” in the new book!
I would love to see a hardcover book with spiral binding!
peanut butter-less, and chocolate chip-less vegan gluten free dough ball recipe. That’s a mouthful. My son has allergies to the extreme which require us to be vegan and gluten free. Let’s add a corn allergy into that mixture. I try and bake using no gums or weird ingredients that my son can not pronounce himself. You’re blog, along with many others(Including TheEdiblePerspective) have been a savior to our family’s journey. Thanks for your willingness to share your recipes!
Congrats on the second book. I have the first book and I love it! For the second one I would like to see more bean recipes and I love the idea of having freezable recipes included. Thanks for the giveaway.
maybe some vegan crockpot meals and anything with pumpkin in it!!!! And of course, lots of food pics and family pics!!!!!
So exciting-can’t wait for it! I think I would also like to see more crockpot recipes. I am obsessed with my crockpot because of you. Also, since becoming vegan, I’ve yet to find a good baked ‘chicken’ recipe (one that could fool meat lovers!).
I’d love to see some pumpkin recipes!
I can’t wait for your next book- the first one has been wonderful! Here’s a challenge, I loooooove Boston Cream Pie. Can you make a recipe for that? Yum!!!
Very exciting! I found nutritional yeast for the first time in a grocery store. I plan to make mmmm sauce very soon!
Huge congrats to you! Seriously, what wonderful news! Hmm, what would I like to see in the second addition? How about a greater variety of flours. I’ve been using (and loving) coconut flour and chickpea flour a lot lately!
Yay! Congrats on a 2nd book!! I would love to see some recipes that are less than “x” amount of ingredients (ie – less than 5 or 10 or something like that). Congrats again!
You would think I would say more gluten free recipes but so far I have had great luck adapting your recipes to my gluten free diet.
Ideally I would like to see more low(er) fat and lower sugar meals but whatever you do, will be golden.
Congrats Mama Pea!!
I’d like more sandwich ideas
I would love to see more recipes for snacks, like granola bars, and even granola.
I absolutely love your book, and every recipe I made was amazing. My favorite from the book are the meatballs and pancakes! And from the blog, pumpkin scones are awesome, and Mmm sauce is like my favorite thing ever
I still have a lot of recipes to make from the book, can’t wait to make some muffins!
Congratulations! I am still in love with the tahini-lime sauce and put it on everything so more awesome sauces that don’t require a blender would be great.
So excited for you!!!! I’d like some mix and matchables, sauces, bases, and toppings since that’s how we eat. I tend to get stuck in a rut and need to remember that corn tastes good with quinoa, etc. Otherwise, there’s really no improving on perfection!
I would love to see tips and tricks for raising two healthy kiddos in a world that champions junk food, soda, and pizza! (i.e. how do you cultivate healthy attitudes in your children that help them make wise choices at such a young age, while their friends eat very differently?)
I LOVE me some Mama Pea and Peas + TY recipeas…everything I have tried has been a winner. Thank you for all you do!
I love your recipes, but I love your writing style even more! As a recovering attorney myself, I really appreciate what you are doing here.
I have diabetics in my family, and it would be wonderful if you could list the sugar content of your recipes in the little nutritional information per serving section in your recipes. You can’t give up publishing those great desserts, but it would be great to see what we’re getting into, sugar wise, with these treats.
My comment is probably too late for *prize consideration*, but thanks for considering this suggestion for your upcoming masterpiece!
I would love to see instructions on how best to freeze, store and defrost your recipes!
CONGRATS on the new book! you absolutely deserve it.
i would loveee to see more lunchbox ideas. i pack a lunch every day and would love to add some new staples (tofu dippers + mmm sauce are currently rocking my world, fyi). clearly, i lack your creativity and need some help in that department!
I cannot wait to see your new book! I’d love to see more recipes for winter squashes (esp. pumpkin and butternut squash! Yum!)
I want to see more quick meals as well.
Yayy! I can’t wait.
Hi! Love your site…you make me laugh out loud with your clever tales of family life, antics and adventures!
Thanks so much for inspiring so many of us!
Definitely would love to see new veggie-central dishes and treats without refined sugar. I’m on a constant hunt to satisfy my fam’s sweet teeth without draggin’ out that bag of sugar.
How exciting! Congrats!
I want doughnuts in the new book. Lots and lots of doughnuts.
Yay! So exciting! I would love to see more weeknight dinner recipes, especially one-pot/one-dish recipes… and I would like to see you make peace with Pea-Kitty, surely you two can find a common ground!
A Sunday dinner menu. It could be old or new recipes. Something that brings the family together, from starters to sweet finish.
I can’t wait for your book, I’m still excited about all your stuff I’ve made thus far!
Congratulations! I have your first cook book and have been a long-time reader! I cannot wait for anything you will put in the book because of your creative genius ways…however i would love more dessert recipeas that do not involve earth balance, possible cookie ideas…or more protein bars?
Thank you for all that you do!
i would love to see more meals for one!! cooking for one is much different than cooking for a family, and sometimes i feel like i can’t cut all of these incredible recipeas by 1/4! so more recipeas targeted toward people who live on their own would be fantastic!
I would love to see a recipea for Black Bean Soup!!! I’m in love w/Panera Bread’s Black Bean Soup. Or, taco soup would be awesome! Congrats on the 2nd book deal! I can’t wait!!!
I would love to win your book, but it is VERY unlikely that I will!
Congrats on the second book!!! That’s wonderful. My thoughts for ideas are 1) Kid-friendly cooking recipeas that a child can do with minimal assistance, and 2) crock-pot meals. Thanks!!!
Congrats Mama Pea!
I’d love to see more slow cooker and soup recipeas
My husband requested a bbq recipe. Tofu/veggies,etc.
Good luck on writing the new book! I’m sure it will be just as awesome (if not more so) than the last!
Whoo Hoo another one. My request GF recipeas or options and mushroom soup!!!
We’d love to see more meatless meat recipes, and also mmm sauce. So far I’ve loved all of the recipes of yours that I’ve tried. My family is transitioning into going totally meatless now
Good luck on the new book!
definitely would love to see more donut recipes!
Pick me! PIck me! And more veggies please! =)
I’d love to see more crockpot recipeas! And I’ll be honest I thought you were announcing another pea baby, let’s be honest your kids are so cute!
As I begin to shape my own unique career path, I am continually inspired by how you craft yours. Congrats on book number two. I am sure it will be as funny, delicious and beautiful as book number one. As for what I want to see in it, well, honestly, whatever you put in it.
I love your vegan recipes! My partner isn’t a vegetarian (let alone vegan) and I have a hard time getting their family (also carnivores) to eat my (absolutely delicious) vegan meals. In addition to your piggy bank friendly/lunchbox ready/freezable labels it would be cool to note what recipes are good to make for those who are skeptical about meatless foods.
Congrats on having a second book on the way!! I thoroughly enjoy your first one!
) I would love some more pumpkin recipes, soup recipes, and quick n’ easy dinner recipes.
So excited for you!! Your blog has inspired us to transition into veggie eating! Me and my husband would love to see a recipe for meatloaf. That is his hands down favorite meal: meatloaf with mashed potatoes!
This is so exciting! I’d love to see more delicious baked goods….as if I don’t make enough of those already!
I would love to see a monthly menu plan, where I can rotate a majority of the ingredients between recipes. Oh, and a vegan version of “better than sex cake” would be pretty boss.
thanks!
Congrats! I would love to see something along the lines of “This recipe includes ingredients that are a great source of Vitamins __ and/or ___ minerals.” Or an indexed list of recipes that are good sources of the different vitamins or minerals. I have lists of what foods are good sources of what, but it would be great to just see it alongside recipes while flipping through making the week’s menu, you know?
SUPER CONGRATS ON YOUR 2ND BOOK! Mama Pea, you are such an inspiration to me that I have been looking for a job in the food industry around food expansion and increasing food security. After becoming a veggie last year, I totally see food and its production differently. I have my first interview this week!
I would love to get this job and start promoting your work through my “possible” work using your inspiration, blog, and book – make that books!!!
I love that your first cookbook has pictures of most of your creations. So wise, because who gets motivated to try something new by reading letters and words about food…um, not me. So, please keep those coming!
gluten free stuff! more things for extra picky livi’s (and their extra picky daddy’s)
congratulations!
i know i’m going to love whatever you include in the new book, but i’d like to see more lunchbox (adult or kid-friendly) recipes – work lunches can get so boring, and not everything i make for dinner is do-able as a make-ahead-and-pack lunch.
Congrats !
Maybe you could do a section on using up leftovers…(make one meal on Sunday and use the leftovers in creative ways for 2 more meals throughout the week?
I would love ideas on how and what to serve for a vegetarian holiday spread. How to host Thanksgiving, Christmas, even Fourth of July BBQ!
Freezable meals would be great and quick and easy
That is awesome!! Would love to see… more desserts – especially ones with peanut butter, mmmm!
congrats on another book deal!!! i’d love to see more recipes with beans. love your black bean burgers with the cheesy middle!
Sorbets and dairy free ice creams! Congrats!
Holiday ideas would be great!
Some vegan Creme Brulee recipes would be splendid!
I would love to see more soup and crock pot recipes– more black bean/kidney bean hearty stuff, perfect for fall!
Frozen treats!
I would love to see more recipes that require just a few ingredients and also a recipe for delicious vegan bread and possibly more goodies made with pumpkin (would pumpkin cookie dough balls even work?) I can’t seem to get enough pumpkin in my life =)
more gluten free recipes/adaptations would be amazing! i love your gfree dough balls!
Holiday wannabe recipeas? I love healthy holiday makeovers!
BTW, just found by way of Sparkpeople! Awesome!
Congratulations Mama Pea! That’s really amazing, and you totally deserve it!!
I would love more delicious one pot wonders or under 30min dinner recipes. My life is getting busy working full time and going to school part time so I really don’t has as much time in the kitchen as I used to.
Congrats!!!! I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to see the finished product!
As I stirred half and half into my coffee this morning, it struck me – I would love to find a good vegan creamer. I was addicted to CoffeeMate® (French vanilla only), but I gave it up because of all the junk in there. Now I use half and half with vanilla sugar, but if I am going to try to delve more into a vegan diet, this doesn’t work. I spent about 15 minutes at the store the other day looking at veg creamers, but I hated the ingredient list for all of them, especially that they all added carageenan.
I know you are trying to give up caffeine; perhaps you can find another willing guinea pig who will happily slurp down coffee in the hopes of finding a better (um, actually good for you) vegan creamer.
I know I’m too late for the giveaway, but I still wanted to say Congratulations on the new book deal! I’d love to see more recipes with pumpkin and more soup recipes!!
Yayy! I have been making Mmmm Sauce like crazy! You really can put it on anything! For the second book, I’m excited for more family stories, you are quite an entertaining bunch!
More gluten free recipes or at least suggestions on how to make them gluten free =)
more comments on recipes by your girls. the pea family is adorable!
You’re going to be overwhelmed with comments for those awesome dough balls! But like everyone else – I’m totally in. Since going meatless I’m in a “crack open another can of soup” rut for quick fixes at the end of the day. So I can agree with some of the others – crock pot recipeas would be great!
When I read the title, I immediately thought, “Yay! Mama Pea is having another baby!” And then I thought, I hope it’s a boy. How fun would it be to read about a Pea Boy?
Anyway, a new book is just as exciting as a baby! (and maybe even more so!)
I’d like to see some meatless recipes that offer an easy store bought substitution to help vegan-shy people adapt. For example, let’s say you were making a tofu scramble and one could sub in veggie breakfast sausage or the real thing. I’m trying to get my parents to eat less meat and being able to sub in things helps them adapt to the new flavors better.
Quick and easy weeknight dinners that my meat-eating husband will devour and not complain about!!! That is my ultimate wish!
Congrats on the next book deal! Awesome!!!
Mama Pea! I’m completely afflicted to an addiction to Tofu because of you! I second the request for more “less ingredient” recipeas! I live in a small apartment with limited cupboard space, so less is more in my book. (And hopefully in your new book as well!) Can’t wait for your next book, the Jung Pow Tofu looks amazing.
More Pea Kitty please (: Okay just kidding but I DO love cats.
I think it would be fun to see a few pages for each family member’s favorite recipeas!
Congrats to your new expected arrival….
Mama Pea please make a Wanna be Recipea for Krispy Kreme Donut Burgers!
Congratulations! That is great news! I personally can’t wait!
I’d love more fast dinners, and crockpot dinners. Good luck, and have fun with it!
I would love to see a section that explains all the meatless protein options that are available, including what type/amount of protein they offer, what their taste and texture are like and how they compare to animal protein.
Oh Mama Pea!!! I’m BEYOND EXCITED for you!!
So sorry that I am a day (or two) late (catching up on reading
), but I CANNOT wait to preorder my next Peas & Thank You book!!!! WOOHOO
Seriously, that video killed me! I couldn’t stop crying for like an hour after I watched it, dork that I am.
YAY about the book baby! Congratulations! So, so excited for more recipes and fun. So happy for you.
Would love to see some easy gluten free recipes
This is probably an idea for the THIRD book (or a book of my own), but as the only vegetarian in my family, I have to create merged veg/carnivore meals, but don’t like cooking two meals……..
BTW, Kung Pao Tofu? Awesome idea! Buffalo tofu would be great, too.
WAHOO! Congratulations!!!! This is so exciting. Also, I already knew this, because my mom called and told me. Haha–she reads your blog more than she reads my own. I love it.
I would LOVE to win those dough balls and a copy of the book. In the second book, I’d love too see more vegan egg recipes, esp one for egg in the hole. Thanks!
Perhaps some lunch box-worthy meals… but really, new recipe will be great!
*really, ANY new recipe
