The One You’ve Been Waiting For (GIVEAWAY)
It’s about to get crazy up in here.
“Swimming with an umbrella” crazy.
“Pea Daddy’s going to kill me for letting his landscaping go to hell, but that looks so fun I can’t say no” crazy.
“Mama let me paint while she was on a conference call” crazy.
“Pickles and bladder control-challenged peas are art” crazy.
I wanted to invoke a little censorship, but Gigi said, “Maybe they’ll put this in a museum someday” and who am I to crush her dream?
The point is, the next few weeks around here are going to be crazy.
Radio interviews.
Feature article photo shoots.
Morning TV shows.
Live cooking demos.
Lots of dough ball baking, waterproof swimming, dirty, dirty feet, borderline dirty pictures and well, Lulu being colorful.
I promise to you to try to keep it as normal as I can around these parts. That’s not saying much, now is it?
But I cherish this place. I cherish YOU. I want to keep giving you more, and not just mediocre more, more of what you want.
Starting with this giveaway and a little research. Let’s call it “pea”search.

- One 11 ounce ceramic mug w/ sealable lid,
- An apron for those cookin’ mamas,

Here’s today’s stop on the Peas and Thank You Virtual Book Tour with Tina of Carrots N’ Cake!

I just made my first batch of Mmm sauce and want to put it on EVERYTHING! It’s so good, so easy, and so versatile! Thanks
More green monster recipes! And more all-in-one vegetarian meals for kids (i.e. casseroles)…
I “liked” Peas and Thank You on facebook.
And realized I didn’t answer the post question – woops! I have a crazy fall coming so I’d love more recipes that can be made on the weekends and will keep and/or freeze so they can be eaten during the busy week!
oobviously im already a f-book fan
I am new to your site, but after reading through the cookbook, I’d say I’d like to see more of your breakfast, lunch, snack/sides, and dessert recipes—-or dinners without tofu or seitan or meat substitutes (so just about more of everything….LOL). The cookbook recipes look really great! And I look forward to finding recipes on the site too. Thanks!
I love your smoothie recipeas! I’m in my first trimester, and ALL I want are smoothies! Gimme more!
My boyfriend and I eat a lot of meat and while I’m not going strictly veg, both of us are interested in eating less meat. He’s even from India where he grew up not eating any beef and eating a fairly vegetarian diet. I’d be interested in some good man-pleasin’ food. I’ve always loved your recipes, and I know Daddy Pea does too, but something more palate friendly to men and to general audiences. I don’t want to have to say “this is a vegan version of _____”, just ” this is this awesome dish, you’ll love it” and blow their minds away.
More sauce recipes (like mmm sauce, etc) that you can throw over rice or pasta and veggies and beans or whatever. Yum! Also more recipes using beans – so cheap & so good!
I can’t get enough of your recipe makeovers! I love how you creatively “veganify” traditional meat-based recipes. Who would have ever thought you could veganify jucy lucys!
I would love to see some more lil’ pea friendly lunch-box recipeas.
Facebook fan!!
Wow, sooo many comments your comment box isn’t even big enough to hold the number! That’s wonderful!
I would like to see some more interesting smoothie recipeas and good nutrition bar recipeas (stuff that i can take with me for a quick, healthy in-between classes meal). =)
It would be nice to see recipes using more varieties of beans. I like chickpeas and black beans and I understand why we use them more but seeing more ideas using other types of beans would be great. Thank you!
Love recipeas that encourage my kiddos to get more of those yummy veggies in every day!
“Liked” you on Facebook, too!
I “like” you on Facebook… but hope we can meet soon the next time you’re in NYC
id love to see more healthy snack recipeas… =)
I would like to see more raw recipes from you:) Duh:) SO THRILLED FOR YOU!
I’d like to see some recipes that are portable. I need something that’s easy to eat on-the-go, besides sandwiches.
I’d love to see more breakfast recipeas! My favorite meal of the day
Hmmmm…I would love to see more comfort food like casseroles or appetizers for fall football parties.
And I am already a facebook fan!
I love your main dishes, especially the casserole-type ones that you throw together and bake. I also LOVE your wannabe recipeas, and would like to submit my formal request for a Mama Pea biscuits and gravy recipea! A local restaurant makes these amazing biscuits with shredded carrots and a creamy vegan gravy with onions that I could eat DAILY, but my wallet says no.
Most importantly though, I want more Tommy Bahama cracks
I would love to see more healthy portable lunch options
I would love to see more frugal yet healthy recipeas.
I am a Facebook fan!
Ok–I am a Mama Pea with a Peaschooler and a Sweet Lil Pea–and so more recipeas that can be eaten with hands would be great–easy to eat and therefore reduce the number of dropped forks in Daddy’s foot. We are all for learning how to use utensils, but OW. Also, they will make great lunchbox pop-ins!
FB fan!
I would love more oil free/ no fat added recipes! Awesome site!
Im a facebook fan!
I want the autographed copy in a bad way AND that little bib for my 3 month old!!!
More snack and lunch recipes that I can take to work with me. I like to munch at my desk while I am working and sometimes I don’t have time to heat something up for lunch, so healthy grab and go lunches are great!
Congrats Mama Pea! I would love to see some recipes that involve few ingredients. I always see recipes that I want to try but then realize that I have to take a trip to the store and use things that I wouldn’t normal use thereby being wasteful, if that makes sense. Anyway, I would love to read your book. I am not vegan but am very interested in a vegan lifestyle!
I would LOVE to see more gluten-free reciepeas! Also, higher protein gluten free ideas for breakfast!
LOVED you on FACEBBOOK!
I would love to see more portable snacks that will with stand long car rides, and that I can send to daycare. Thanks for all that you do!
savory,QUICK and EASY meals that can be made on those busy weeknights!
I’d love to see things that can be taken on road trips for snacks (also to the beach, zoo, etc.)!
More vegan value recipes, please! I am young, fabulous…and broke.
Facebook fan!
I’d love to see more main dishes that involve beans. We don’t care much for tofu here (I know that’s kind of blasphemous), but we do love beans. I also have to pack lunches for the first time ever for Husband who doesn’t want to take leftovers because he has 22 minutes to eat/make copies/go to the bathroom and doesn’t want to spend 2 of those minutes microwaving and a 4 year old who’s going to a new preschool and also isn’t able to take leftovers that need warming up.
I’d love to see more casseroles or portable lunch meals…and stuff without beans, because beans give me gas and then I get the stinkeye at the gym.
I would love to see some more breakfast recipeas! How about something savory??
Ooh I’d love a signed copy pleease! And I’d love some more come-together-in-a-second-with-practically-no-effort-at-all-but-still-magically-tastes-amazing recipes. I’m starting a postgrad in September and am expecting huge amounts of stress. Also, the cheapo cheap recipes are awesome (for the same reason!). But keep ‘em all coming
I’m a facebook fan!
More breakfast recipeas! How about something savory??
I would like to see some more quick pasta recipes…or perhaps easy to pack lunch items? I would say more baked goods (best part!) but you are probably tempted to bake ALL of the time already, like me
Anything freezable (even though a lot of your amazing recipes are). Woo hoo! Go Peas!!!
I’m a sucker for desserts, so I say bring on the sweets recipeas )
More recipes to make my meat eating (non-faux meat eating) husband an even bigger fan of the Peas!! He loves your chickpea tacos & zucchini lasagna. Keep ‘em comin!
I’d just like to see more of your usual fun and creative recipes! Seems like whatever I would think of asking for would never be as good as what you come up with on your own!
More Crockpot recipes:)
I would love to see more dinner entree recipes….also called “man friendly” recipes. And if you have any spare time….some healthy baked good recipes including protein? I’m really loving including protein powders in my snacks.
I also stalk thePeas family in my facebookery…I “like” you in FB
Seriously, anything gluten free i’ll gladly love
I would like to see more snacks that are healthy and easily transported.
I would love to see more dessert recipes and also meal ideas that don’t involve soy products! Thanks so much for all your delicious sharing
I would love recipes packed with as many veggies as you can get in there
I am not on Facebook so I had my daughter LIKE you on facebook for me
Mama Pea, we live in Northern Minnesota and our growing period isn’t that long. I would like to see some more suggestions on how to get yummy nutrients in the cold winter months. Without having to get something from far away; reducing the carbon footprint. Also, more suggestions for kids lunches! Thank you, we appreciate your blog!
I ( Vanessa’s mommy)started looking at your blog after the our last ballet lesson. Have enjoyed the recipeas. More dinners I guess but I have a lot to sift through already as I am new to your blog.
Hi Danielle! I’m excited you’ve been reading. Hope you guys are having a nice summer!
I want an autographed book! I would like some more quinoa recipes, and green veggies (broccolini, collard greens, boy choy…) recipes
Liked P&TY on facebook!
I want an autographed book! I would like some more quinoa and and green veggies (broccolini, collard greens, bok choy…) recipes
I would love to see more slow cooker meals. I rely heavily on my slow cooker in the fall and winter but my family grows tired of the same stuff! Also ‘manly’ vegan meals would help me convince my meat lovers that vegan is good!
I would love to see more Wannabe Recipeas! I love to see how you vegan-ize classics and favorites!
p.s. my sister and I are loving the book! Fabulous job!!!
I would like to see more gluten free recipes!! Yeah for GF dougballs!
Amazon says my copy of the book will arrive August 2nd and I am so excited!! (But I would happily give that to my sister if I won an autographed copy
)
I would love to see more recipeas “on the cheap” – the frugal university student in me could use as much help as she can get in that department.
PS: I wanted to share this tidbit with you when I commented on the release of the book, but it slipped my mind. I don’t think I’ve EVER been so excited about a book coming out since the 7th Harry Potter novel. That’s really saying something, since the HP series trump all others in my mind – and I could never even imagine that a COOKBOOK, of all books, would bring forth that kind of excitement again. You’re awesome, and your book is everything I knew it would be.
I hope you get some rest in the upcoming whirlwind!
And I also already follow you on Facebook!!
I would love more easy meals with an emphasis on seasonal produce. Can’t wait to pick up your book! Thanks!
Recipes like the remake of Red Lobster’s Cheddar Biscuits and others that turn typical recipes into vegan ones would be awesome! Bonus points if they don’t use pre-made ingredients (vegan cream cheese, tortillas from a package, etc.) that end up taking up extra space in my limited college kitchen.
I would love more slow cooker recipes!
I became a fan on Facebook!
I would love more picky eater recipes.
I would love to see more meals that are all veggie! No faux meats or dairy! Thanks for all the great recipes and stories!
No requests on which types of meals, just keep the recipeas coming Mama P!
I just checked out your blog this week. Seen your cookbook on the ‘Oh She Glows’ blog. Both looks great! I am not vegan, however, always enjoy trying new recipes containing simple basic foods and fruits and veggies.
I am a vegetarian and would love to have a good source for meals that me AND my meat-eating husband could enjoy together!
hi mama pea!! so excited that your book is finally hitting the shelves. i would love to see more gluten-free recipes. I love your dessert recipes, but many of them use whole wheat flour. Any suggestions you may have for GF substitutions would be much welcomed!
I love quick dinner recipes and anything that is gluten free and loaded with veggies.
Am now a fan on Facebook!
I’d like to see more recipes with only a few ingredients. I also liked you on facebook. Congrats!
I would love more quick and easy recipes!
i’d like to see more healthified favorites!
I’m already a fan on Facebook!
I would love to see more easy weeknight recipes and also protein bar/cookie recipes! Congratulations on the book!
I love your vegan budget-friendly recipes. My bank account does too!
I Iove the new “cheap recipes” – maybe more slow cooker recipes for the busy family.
Hi Mama Pea,
This is my First-Ever blog contest entry. Ever!!
I LOVE your Slow-cooker African Sweet Potato Stew. Love it. Love it!
I want more recipes just like it—jam-packed with nutrition–loaded with hot & savory spices–and can-opener friendly. Fast!
Love your blog!
Wannabe Recipeas! And vegan sushi!
I would love to see more easy and cheap dinner recipes
Would love to win a copy of your book!
I would like to see more “on the go” breakfast meals. We seem to skip breakfast for lack of time (ok so maybe we should wake up earlier).
The vegan values recipes! And breakfast. Thanks!
breakfast recipes!
I would love more gluten-free recipeas! A lot of your recipeas can be made gluten-free with one or two switcharoos, but I would love some that are already GF from the start!
icecream??
more breakfast options.
desserts.
+1 for facebook
I’d love to see more lunch and dinner recipeas. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be yummy!
I hate to use the term “casseroles,” but hearty, one-dish, main-course-type recipes that can be combined with easy sides. Thanks!
I’d love to see more homemade cereal recipes =)
Yeah, me too!
I love all your recipes – and am in the middle of your charming book – I would like more main dish ideas – i get stuck on the same ol, same ol! Thank you.
You are? Fun!!!
Just ‘liked’ you on FB!!
Congrats on the book!! Am already a fan on FB.
Any recipeas that involve hummus are OK with me!!
im a fan on facebook!
I would love to see seasonally focused recipes.
Also dishes made with only a few ingredients and can be put together quickly…I am impatient when hungry (:
More high protein recipes! As a vegetarian athlete, I look for the recipes with the highest amount of protein. While I like light and airy meals, a cucumber sandwich won’t cut it before I train (triathlon baby!). I like beans, lentils, protein! More Please!
Oh and I’m a fan on Facebook(:
i would love some more stir fry recipes! i love quick meals that are still made of wholesome, fresh ingredients!
Momma pea this is such a GREAT giveaway! I am so excited! I would love to see more desserts- ice cream, cakes (black forest, german chocolate etc), and definitely for you to try to make those Dad’s Goodie Rings I told you about! HEAVEN! How about trying to make some “popcorn chicken” using a blend of soy/lentils etc (faux chicken)?
Barbara
I really like your budget recipes! I’m a college student so it’s nice to get more main meal things that I can make without using up all my money.
I would love to see more quick meals and meals that I can fool my very meat eating husband into liking.
I am a fan on Facebook also!
I’d like to see more pealightful plan recipes!
I do love your budget friendly posts as well!
By the way, I am your fan on facebook as well. I just noticed the comment above mine, and yes, man friendly recipes are excellent too! Just keep posting and we’ll be happy
More desserts! I have a sweet tooth so I would love to see more cookie recipes. Also meals for one/meals that can easily freeze
Crazy can be good! I would love to see more copy cat recipes. The ones where you take something and make it over only much better/healthier/tastier.
A how-to for seitan (the making of which has always confused me, no matter how many cookbooks feature it) and accompanying recipes would be awesome. I enjoy soy/tofu but that would be a nice “meaty” change. Also, I think your made-over version of old unhealthy favorites (NutriGrain bars, oatmeal cream pies) are really popular with everybody and I’d love to see more. You’ll have to hold another poll to figure out which thing to tackle, though.
As some other people have said, I’d like more recipes for portable foods. It’s sometimes difficult to find quality vegan food (aka not french fries) when out and about with people who eat differently than I do! Would love something I can stick in my bag to supplement those awful iceberg salads
Thanks Sarah!
Hi! This is really funny, I just bought your book at barnes and noble online yesterday and I just liked you on facebook! As if I knew you were going to be asking soon. Haha. Well I can not wait to get the book! I am supper excited about it.
Recipes I would really like to see more of are- baked goods. Maybe breads? Or some vegan Ice cream recipes. Or some recipes that don’t contain sugar, maybe some alternative sugar sources (agave, maple syrup, coconut palm sugar, date sugar).
I really enjoy your blog. You are so funny and witty. Love it!
I’m already a Facebook fan. (You know, the one who monitors your rank on the Amazon Bestseller list for everyone.
)
More high protein, less carbs, all natural ingredients!
Beans! Yummy cold bean salads please
Congrats on your success!
I would love to see some “portable” meals – we are frequently on the go and it’s hard for me to find valid healthy options for myself let alone things the kids will eat
I “like” you on facebook! Thank you!
I want more lowfat recipes. Ya, I said it. And did 1000 people really just enter this or am I seeing doubles in the comment sections. WOWZA. You are infamous.
I would love recipeas for packed lunches for school. Just got the cookbook today. I have already made zucchini bread. It is delicious! Right now my 7 year old son is looking thru it picking out what he wants me to make. Love all of the photos and stories!
Already a fan on facebook!
I would love more sauces and dips PEAS….
Um…also more savory anything. Snacks, salads, veggie sides.
You know what?
More of anything.. you have the midas touch. Except instead of gold everything you touch turns into MMMMmmmmm.
You have the Green-a-licious touch.
My daughter and myself are vegan but husband is not. I want to see some more “manish” meals. He will not eat any type of beans so I always have to make things were you don’t even realize there are beans in the recipe.
I would love to see more easy/quick dessert recipes (or just dessert ones in general!).
Also I became a fan on facebook.
Love everything I have tried so far. I am trying to get my family on board by LEANING into meatless Mondays…. My family is crazy about Mexican, but not so much if a bean is recognizable…so I would like to see some easy/quick Mexican recipes for the “visually picky” eater.
I can’t wait to check out your book.
All of your recipes are so creative and look amazing, but I especially enjoy the dessert/baked goods!
More muffins and scones! I love starting days healthy and they are my favorite breakfast food
I’d love some recipes tailored toward cooking for 1 without having tons of leftovers. Love the book!!
I love ALL your recipes (and already ordered your cookbook- but would love to have one to give away!). I’d love to see more recipes using chia seeds since I ordered from ChiaSeedsDirect and have a freezer full of 10lbs of chia… it is starting to leave droppings.
I’d love to see recipes that call for slightly lesser-known veggies … turnips, okra, radish, and rutabaga
I would love more recipes aimed to please herbivores and omnivores alike. I don’t want to bore Seth with my same old tofu and chili!
I love everything I’ve tried. Recipes of any sort are always welcome and wonderful! Although more ketchup recipes wouldn’t hurt… I laughed so hard over that post!
I want to win this cookbook so I can make my fiancee make me a nice meal from the cookbook. I had him make the mmmm sauce on my birthday and I want him to make me your veggie burgers next! He doesn’t cook so pick me so I can get him veganized!
I am a fan on Facebook. PS. I like Pea Kitty!
I’d love to see more protein-rich recipes without soy.
I love all your baking ideas!! You make vegan baking so easy when it can sometimes seem complicated. Thank you!!
More meals like the chickpea and dumplings or tamale pie! I’m a college kid always looking for easy, healthy, and cheap.
And I liked you on facebook! I don’t know why I hadn’t before. So excited for you!!
I love all your recipes, keep them coming!!! And I would love a no added sugar dessert recipe here and there.
I would like to see more simple, quick recipes
Already a fan on Facebook and loyal twitter follower…but I’d love to see more recipes using quinoa and wannabes. Love everything you come up with!
More snacks to throw in my lunch box to take to work! Congratulations on the book…
I would love to see more Pealightful recipes! My family and I absolutely love them.
i would like to see more fruit related recipes and cookies that aren’t too sweet and packed w/ whole grains and other nourishing things.
I’d love to see more main dishes. Love your blog and can’t wait to get your book. Hope I win it!
so excited for you mama pea!!! Just scary excited!!
Can’t wait to get my book…I would be so excited if I won!!
I want to see more EASY meals!! Ones that take no time and few ingredients, but still taste like they come from your kitchen
Recipes using tofu and recipes using greens. I get stuck preparing these the same way each week!
I would like more quick and easy dinners please!
Hi! I would like more recipes without “quotes”. I really like recipeas that are about what you’re actually cooking. I don’t like “cheese” only to find out that it’s really hummus (because I am still vegetarian, not vegan, and I loves me some cheese). I also like hummus and want to know that I’m putting hummus in something instead of “cheese” in quotes. Know what I mean? Getting rid of processed food is also getting rid of “faux” food. I actually really really want more recipeas that are just good food and not trying to be meaty. I don’t want faux hamburgers. I want an actual veggie burger or just something new and vegetarian. Your black bean burger with the oats and mushrooms is the first veggie burger I’ve ever found that stands up and doesn’t squish out the sides when you take a bite! I am truly grateful for that recipe, I mean “recipea.”
Congratulations on the book! It is well deserved.
I would love more recipes using beans other than chickpeas, although I do love them!
More breakfast/brunch recipes please! The book looks great, congrats!!
maybe some more quick and easy lunch-time recipes? like vegetarian sandwich ideas! although leftovers are always good.
I would love to see more family-friendly foods that don’t scream “VEGAN!!!”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about some clean eats, but my meat and potatoes loving family members have an irrational fear of tofu and sometimes need “healthy” presented in a less objectionable form.
Holy crap, 1100 comments? Awesome! I would like to see more man-friendly meals without fake meats, and lunchbox ideas. If Gigi is going to school this year, ti would be ever-so-helpful if you could post at least once a week what is included in her lunchbox.
Made your African Peanut Soup tonight. It was the first time I have made an indian-inspired meal, I loved it, as did my hubby and 2 young daughters! Thank you!!
And I already follow you on facebook.
I would love more dessert recipes!
More breakfast recipes peas!!!!
more “finger foods” for my kiddos, aka my pea-babies
I would love to see more slow cooker recipeas or recipeas that freeze well (bonus points for both!) Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the book!
Sandwich and “no-cook” recipes that can be quickly assembled!
Just became a FB fan!
I liked Peas and Thank you on Facebook!
Gosh, it’s so hard to say what I want to see more of because you have such a great variety of recipes! But I guess I would love to see recipes for quick pack n’ go types of lunches. My husband and I are doing the Engine 2 Challenge and it’s tough thinking of daily lunches for him other than peanut butter and jelly or beans and rice.
Just became a fan on FB
More gluten free ones, and easy, tasty toddler snacks!
Now a FB fan!
I’m already a fan…and would love to see more smoothie and more sandwich recipeas!! (BUT if I had to chose just one…definitely more smoothies!!)
I know they’re simple, but I like smoothie receipeas…they are the ones I’m most likely to make within a day or two of reading.
My daughter loves, loves your blog and continually makes your wonderful creations. Her birthday is coming in September and number one on her wish list is your book, which, as I type is in the mail heading my way for her. I would love to win this great little set to add to my basket of birthday goodies for her, she would be thrilled. She has made many of your creations and loves each one of them. Of course, she has passed her ‘secret’ on to me, thanks for all the great dishes and ideas.
That is so sweet of you! Good luck…
I’m with the other women who want more husband friendly meals.
More dessert “recipeas” please!
I’m now following you on Facebook.
I am now following you on Facebook.
I am so excited for you – Congratulations on the official “opening” of your book!! I’d also like to see more slow cooker recipes and I always welcome more chocolate. You can never have too much chocolate
I’m a fan on facebook!
I’d looove some more packable-lunch foods!
I want to see more recipes made entirely of whole foods… none of the processed stuff. I’m struggling to find recipes like this that are kid-friendly.
Oh… and I’m already a fan on FB!
Mama Pea, you are amazing, and I know you will make it through all of the craziness with grace. I think that you have such a wide variety of offerings, it is hard to pin point wanting more of something. Perhaps some more side dishes, or creative salads and dressings. Love you Mama
Thanks, friend
i’d like some recipes on making basics, have you ever tried to make your own vegan mayo? or more sauce recipes! you can never have too many dipping sauces IMO!
picky eater friendly recipes!
and i’m a fan on facebook!
I think that you already have so many great recipes, but dessert items are always appreciated!
You’re so great! I would like to see recipes that are healthy and vegan but are so delicious that they don’t taste like they should be healthy.
You’re so great! I would like to see recipes that are healthy and vegan but are so delicious that they don’t taste like they should be healthy.
I just became a “fan” on Facebook. I read the entire book on my flight to LAX. I would love to see more dinner recipeas and another cookbook!
How did you like the book?
I would love to see more gluten free recipes. The dough ball one looks delish!
I would like to see more lunch recipes – for me. Haha. I’m generally not lunch creative and yogurt and cottage cheese one can only take so much
Thanks!!!
I’d like to see more snack food for the mom on the go haha.
but seriously.
Anything fast, healthy and kid-approved is a big hit here (with Mom and boys!)
Just “liked” your page on FB…so glad I found your blog!
I’m new to your site : so far, wow deliciousness! I’m a new young mom and really wanting to learn to cook clean & healthy for my child. I’m finding blogs to be a great resource; I would love more recipeas that seem like treats but don’t use flour or refined sugar. Is it possible??!
I would love to see more replicas of “regular” dessert such as cheesecake and cake and cup cakes (so essentially cake)! Hopefully with ingredients that most of us have in our cabinets!
Please try and “mama pea” these: http://www.perfectfoodsbar.com/pages/nutrition-facts in the cranberry lite!
I have just found your blog and have added your book to my amazon wishlist. I would love to win a copy of your new book so I can start using some of your recipes!
I like all sorts of recipes, but lean toward the healthier ones with veggies and whatnot. Keep ‘em coming!
I would love to see more low budget quick and easy burger recipes! You see, I’m a broke college student and I find it hard a times to cook a vegan recipe without spending LOADS at th grocery store for just ONE recipe! Having the book on hand would make my life that much easier! Save me mama pea!
I’ve only been following you for about a week, and was quickly inspired to make your lemon lentil soup. No, really I ran out to the store that day and bought the ingredients I didn’t have. And let me tell you it was AMAZING. So I would request more soups/stews since it is one of the smaller sections. Even though I live in the hot desert of Arizona for some reason I am on a soup kick. Doesn’t make sense I know.
Congrats on your already book success! How exciting!
Some fabulous sugar free desserts would be awesome, the sort of desserts you can eat anytime. It’s tough, but I know just the blogger turned cookbook author up for the task.
Also became a fan on Facebook ♥
i want more sandwich bread recipes
but what can i say…all the recipes are so good that i am in love with the book!
I would love to see more one pot meals!
Holy Peas! How many entries can there be??? I’d like to see main dishes that my hubby and my little peas would eat. But I also love the comments about slow cooker and freezable meals, too. So, I guess I’m just easy to please!
I would like to see more of the vegan values recipes!
I would love to see soy free recipes as well as gluten free recipes too!
I just became a fan of yours on facebook! Thanks for the great recipes! I would love to win a copy of your book!
I am soooo happy I stumbled across your blog (via Carrots n’ Cake)! I definitely “liked” you on facebook and look forward to making this a regular stop on my web browsing. Book ordered today and I can hardly stand waiting for it!
Thank you! Glad you found me too!
More meal recipes involving nut butters
Congrats on your wonderful book! I got the book preview on iBooks, and can’t wait to read the real thing! I would love to see 5 ingredient recipes, or recipes that aren’t so ‘involed’, for those days that I just don’t feel like cooking.
I’m a facebook fan!
As I am often rocking the anti-candida diet (sigh), I’d love to see some more low sugar/fruit sweetened desserts. I’m never sure how to replace the sugar in recipes with alternatives like stevia or fruit and I am certain that you could figure it out in some delicious manner.
Slow cooker! And hearty main dishes sans tempeh/tofu.
Hmmm…I think I would like to see even more copycat recipes!
i’m a fan on facebook!
Love the excitement surrounding your cookbook!
And also “liked” you on Facebook
Wow! Thank you so much for writing this blog! I’m a vegan mom for 3 years (was vegetarian for about 15yrs) we are raising our 8 month old daughter vegetarian. I’ve been looking for good resources to help me with planning meals for my family. I was discouraged by the very limited resources out there, and daunting recipes (I’m new to cooking) but I love your blog, your writing style, your easy to follow recipies with pictures (I’m a visual person) and its made me excited inspired and gave me a little more confidence that we can raise our daughter vegetarian and not live off of raw carrots & hummus (which is my go to) thank you so much!!
I would love to see more kids meals, under from 8 months to toddler foods. Also ideas for my husband’s lunch options, he’s a big guy I find it’s hard for us to have leftovers! Maybe we are eating too much!
Also more smoothie options and ice cream (vegan)
I also “liked” you on Facebook as well!
Can’t wait to read more! Thanks for sharing and inspiring
Leanne, thank you! I’m so touched by your kind words. Did you see the smoothie recipe this morning…totally was thinking about your request! Have a great weekend!
Yes!! Thank you! I just came from a 2hour grocery shopping trip with all kinds of goodies to start making your recipes
lots of frozen & fresh fruit for smoothies. Going to make your chocolate cookie dough balls (light) and zucchini quinoa lasagna tonight! Yum can’t wait
You should post more recipes of things you WANT to make! (see last post) I’ve enjoyed reading all of your recipes to see how you put them together and the joy you have for cooking, even if I know it’s something I wouldn’t necessarily enjoy…which almost never happens!
..and I already like you on Facebook!
I absolutely love your website and all of your recipe ideas! I’m helping my Dad come up with some healthy dinner ideas for himself. He’s a newly single bachelor. So any more very easy, man friendly ideas would be appreciated. Something he wouldn’t be too skeptical about to make on his own. I know all your recipes are delish…. but I don’t know how many he would try on his own. Good luck with your book!!!
Heather, did you see this post? http://peasandthankyou.com/2011/06/21/pea-mail-make-my-man-eat-plants/ Maybe there will be some ideas for your dad in there?
Great, thank you so much! I’m going to see if I can get him to try the chickpea tacos! It seems like something that would be perfect for him- healthy, delicious, and easy
I can’t even say it enough, congrats! i know i don’t actually know you but I’m honestly proud of you, what a great accomplishment! i think it’s just wonderful and the day is finally here for you
congratulations one more time haha! i would love more pealightful recipeas please!
I’d love to see more ways to get my greens! I’ve been eating at least half a bunch of some leafy green every day, but I’m really getting sick of salads and putting them in smoothies! Perhaps my salads are boring…I’ll look around your site for salad ideas! Thanks
I liked you on facebook
I “liked” you on facebook.
Really any type of meal that can be made fairly quick
I would love to see more main hearty meals that I can get my man to eat. I have such a hard time finding meat free meals that I know he will enjoy. The joys of a vegetarian living with a meat eater!
I am just going back to work, and will only have half hour lunches, and would love to see easy hot or cold pasta recipes.
I am already a fan on FB : since my a friend recommended you, and I also subscribed to your excellent blog.
Congratulations on getting the book published! I am really excited to see it! I have heard nothing but great things about it!
I hesitate to make any suggestions because you always have such great ideas anyway, I don’t know what I could suggest to improve on it.
I think that even more easy, like quick and simple, dinner recipes would be great! I mean you already have a ton of great recipeas for dinner but you can never have too many in my opinion:) p.s. you are such an inspiration for me to eat healthy everyday! Thanks so much<3
Hi. I have recently found your blog and just LOVE it. I have not yet tried any recipeas…..(!!!!), but am very excited to do so…we just moved, so don’t have a lot of time right now. (I know, poor excuse). But I would like to see more crock-pot recipeas also. When I work, I love to use a crock-pot. I am excited to get your book and I think I want to get one for my son who doesn’t eat meat…he will love it too!!! Thanks for the chance to win!!!
I am blessed with one of the pickiest eaters ever. Think it is probably karma for making fun of my little sister as kids for only eating spaghetti with butter for 2 years. This one only eats pasta of any sort with olive oil, fruit, ice scream and french fries. Occasionally sliced veggies and that takes a lot of bribery! Would love to see more recipes that either hide the good stuff within the meals or fun ways of presenting healthier foods that would make him more excited to eat it! Also, became a fan on FB. Thanks!!!
All of your reci”peas” are a delight to fix and eat. The other person at the table is a meat-eating landscaper (he eats meat, not landscapers!) and sports a huge ap”pea”tite at dinner so any hearty, manly entrees would be welcomed.
More spicy meals! Congratulations on your book!!
P.S. I now like your page on FB!
I would love to read more recipes about bake-goods with tofu. I am really scared to try baking with tofu
I liked you on facebook as well
I just ‘liked’ you on facebook……!!!!!
so cute! love the artwork! this must all be so fun for you with the book taking off. So exciting!!
I would like to see more toddler-esque recipes! I love all of your food but for main dishes I can’t trick my kids (1 and 2) into eating things – they are so finicky right now. I’d like to see you sneak good veggies into (breakfasts ) & dinners. The only thing I’ve got going for me right now are green smoothies for their veggies. Frustrating!
I really want more of your great recipes, but with a larger emphasis on whole foods; no more fake cheese or imitation animal products!
.
pretty sure i have to say…dessert. i know i know- but your desserts are incredible!!!
I’d love to see more breakfast recipes and bake goods. Congratulations on the book!
I just became a fan on FB
I would love more recipes without tofu or fake/alternative meats as the protein source. We absolutely LOVE your chickpea tacos!!
i second the pea-i-fied paul dean series! That would be awesome

I would LOVE more super-quick recipes or things like Mmmm Sauce that can be used in a variety of ways – I’m a student, and I need all the time I can get outside of the kitchen!
I want to see more of your wannabe recipeas!! But really, I love them all
hmmm more desserts that are as healthy as they can be
Congrats on your book!! how exciting it must be.
Easy and wallet friendly recipeas please!!
I would love to see some more freezable casserole type dishes. I know the word casserole is bad, but with homeschooling four boys it is hard to always cook every single night from scratch. Love, love the book!
I LOVE when you revamp Starbucks recipes the Peas and Thank You way! Not only do they taste (infinitely)better than the originals, they are a whole lot easier on my arteries, and they save me money that can be spent on far more important things, like shoes and yoga classes
Thanks Mama Pea!
I would love to see more protein-y meals. I love carbs, don’t get me wrong but I get bored with the same old seitan, tofu and stuff. I am dying for some super innovative protein dishes! P.S. I am a fan of your protein cookie dough from way back now with the addition of turbanido sugar for some crunch =)
I always love more vegan dessert recipes because…… Who could ever get enough of those?!
More recipeas that are easily scalable for one! Us single girls love Recipeas too!
I would love to see more sandwiches- I love the ideas you have on your site!
I would LOVE to see more BOLD flavored recipes! I’ve been enjoying your Cracklin’ Cauliflower & Coconut Curry Kale Stew this week and the spice combinations make me feel like I’m in South Asia (that might have to do with the South Carolina heat, too!)
Hi, new reader here! I live alone and therefore am usually looking for quick, healthy meals without an ingredient list a mile long. I like the Food Network show “5 Ingredient Fix”, but it usually involves some sort of meat! Something like that vegetarian-style would be so super awesome for this busy student!!
P.S. Love the blog!
More whole grains please! Congrats on the cookbook!
Just became a FB fan too!!
Slowcooker recipes! I love to use mine but it usually involves a hunk of meat.
I would love to see more quick dinners, I’m always on the lookout for dinners that can be made with little prep and lots of flavor.

Sarah, first time comment, long time reader..I have learned so much from your posts! made quite a few yummy meals from your recipeas..I just braved traffic in an unknown town, cut off an angry driver, to get to a barnes and noble to get your book..well books! 1 for me, 1 for my daughter ( who is new to blogging) http://www.erinshungryheart.blogspot and 1 each for my nieces, one of whom has fussy boys and eats vegetarian but not YOUR version so I HAD to turn her on to you! I am heading poolside in this hotel to read about some mmmm good eats. Janis
Thank you so much, Janis! Enjoy the book in the sun!
I want more vegan recipes with vegan cheese!

I’d definitely be interested in more grain recipeas! I love your recipes; tho for some reason always find it hard to incorporate many grains into my diet.
Also I liked you on Facebook.
(btw my name is actually heather but I’m typing from my iPod. Which is harder than typing on my iPhone! The previous comment about the grains was from me too though)
I love your “protein” recipes – Mama Pea meets Brendan Brazier! When my muscles are hungry and I want to eat the fridge, I really appreciate recipes like your carrot cake protein bars etc. Keeps me from eating myself out of house and home!!
Those are my favorite too, but I eat a lot of repeats because they taste so good. I’ll take that as a challenge!
Oh yay a giveaway for the book! I’m going to buy it, I was waiting until I got paid, but maybe I’ll win it instead!
I love your entree recipes, especially the Pealightful ones with lots of veggies and whole grains! I’ve made so many of your recipes, I can’t even count! Thanks Mama Pea!
Just another comment to tell you I’m already a fan of Peas and Thank You on Facebook
I’d like to see more sweets. I love my mom’s sweet potato pie – she uses this recipe: http://askville.amazon.com/isn%E2%80%99t-Thanksgiving-Ollie-Perry%E2%80%99s-sweet-potato-pie/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=29235556 – it is the best one I have ever had…but it’s not VEGAN!
I am loving all of your recipes! Anything that has to do with kids and school lunches or quick and easy snacky ideas are fabulous. I love feeding the kids (and their friends) healthy foods! Thanks for your hard work and just know that your recipes are finding their way all around the world!
And I am a fan on FB!
I would love to see more casserole-ish recipes. I used to make casseroles a lot when I ate meat, but now that’s I’m veggie I feel very limited and am having difficulty coming up with a variety of them to use.

Hi there! I just started following your blog here this week! (followed your link on Carrots N Cake). I know I’ve seen references to your site or your book before, so I’m not sure why I hadn’t signed up to follow you yet. But I would LOVE to win a copy of your book! I would love to see more recipeas taking classic meaty favorites and turning it veggie! (Namely, I can’t let go of chicken wings, chipped beef on toast and BLT’s!)
I would like more gluten free recipes. I’m also a big crockpot fan. Any plans for more of those recipes?
I just made those blueberry muffins that you posted and they were to die for! I would love more dairy free muffin/quick bread recipes!

Some more traditionally ethnic foods. Like, my dad’s Polish so we’ll have perogies and haluski a lot, but those dishes can get really buttery sometimes.
I would love to get this book! I’ve been trying to eat more vegetarian/vegan lately and would love some new fun recipes.

I like both your vegan values and pealightful recipes
I’m on a budget AND could lose a few lbs so these are my go-tos. Thank you!
I am already a fan on facebook. Thank you!
I would love to see recipes by season too! Eating local organic produce by season is the best!
But of course…. Anytime I see a new recipe posted by you I think “This is JUST what I wanted!”
The cookbook is amazing! LOVE IT and my menus this week will come out of it alone!
You got it? Hurrah!!!
I did get it! It was waiting for me Thursday when I got home from errands!
Sarah – I have a floor to ceiling bookcase in my kitchen for just cookbooks so I’ve seen a million! Yours is THE BEST! I love the brightness of it and the way it is put together is PERFECT!
My niece came over Friday and we did her 4-H cooking…. my donut pan fell out of the cabinet and she asked what it was…. when I told her I make smores donuts with it …. well she HAD to make them. So we ended our cooking session with your smores donut recipe and she loved it!
Thanks again for all you do! It is SO appreciated!
Thank YOU! I’m so glad you like it. I know you were almost as excited as I was
Have a great weekend!
Dear Mama Pea, I am a new fan on facebook and a subscriber. Would love to see some recipes with Thai and Vietnamese notes. Every one of your recipes that I have followed has been a success. My family and I say “Thank You”. This may seem an odd request, but what are your thoughts on nutritionally sound vegan options for dogs ? Do you think it is possible to have healthy dogs without serving meat ? You are an inspiration, Mama Pea, and I for one am very grateful for all the good energy and information that you put out into the world……………Peas and thank you, Evelyn
I haven’t looked into vegan dog food, but have read mixed things about cats. And since deep down in my heart I really do like Pea Kitty, we feed her non-veg food that is organic and ethically sourced.
Thanks for your kind comment!
Oh, thank you so much. I do the same for our dogs and have been wondering about vegan options for them. I trust your knowledge and experience and am sure that if vegan cat & dog food was a viable alternative, you would know about it. Have a great weekend, Mama Pea !
I would love to see more recipes that are inspired by classic comfort food: pizza, tacos, etc. that are quick and easy and made from whole foods. I think this is your biggest strength so keep bringing it!
I also became a fan on facebook.
In case I need to say it twice….I Like you, I really Like you and as of today , I am a new fan following you on facebook. All best to you, Mama Pea !!!………..xxoo, Evelyn & family
I would love to see some more recipeas including lentils! Cant wait to read the book!
I am such a big fan of your recipeas Mama Pea but what I would like to see more of is snack ideas that transport really easily from place to place since I am always on the go. I also am a fan on facebook of yours too:) Congrats on your book as well!
I want to say more dessert recipes….but I’m kinda slacking in the actual “real meal” department! So lots of veggified dinners would be great
I think you always have good recipes on here! I am always interested in quick meals with real ingredients that are easy to prepare for a single person. Congratulations on the book!
I would love to see more “Easy Peasy” recipes, for those times where time is short, but the appetite is not.
Perhaps also more hearty dishes.
Another thought – “When Peas Entertain” – an idea of how to do a whole dinner party/event, to satisfy the tummy’s of all.
Or, you can just come over & make me a birthday cake
I would love to see more gluten free meals for all of us celiacs out there
I would like more main course meals..thx..
I love everything you devise, so have no suggestions, but I would love if each recipea included its nutritional value!
and I’m already a fan on FB, of course!
I have a newborn so I “second” the slow cooker recipes suggestion – especially ones that please veg and meat eaters.
I would love to see more smoothies, low sugar (sugar alternative) deserts, ‘man friendly’ meals, quick healthy ‘to go’ snacks and crockpot ideas would be great! Thanks!
Long time lurker, firstr time commenter — I LOVE your blog and use your recipeas for 97% of everything I cook! I’d love to see more high-protein versions of recipeas.
Hi! I just discovered site and looking forward to reading more posts. I’d like to see quick, great tasting and nutritious recipes. Maybe something I can make in advance and freeze or keep in the fridge so I don’t have to cook every day.
I also became a fan on Facebook!
Hmmm, well honestly I think you do a wonderful job covering all meals from various angles. They never ever disappoint and you always present them with humor – win, win! I guess if I HAD to identify something I’d love to see more of, it would be meals and/or snacks on-the-go. Portable = Automatic win.
More Copycat recipes that are vegan! Heart you mama pea!
I just recently found your website and look forward to trying your recipes and hope to order the book soon!
Hope you do too! Thanks!
I would love more recipes without soy as the protein source. I have a soy allergy and its hard to find meat-free meals without soy in them.
I just got your book from amazon and love it!! If I got an autographed copy I would give my copy to my good friend who also likes to eat more meat-free.
Thanks so much for buying the book! Sorry about your soy allergy
I’ll see what I can do!
I’d love some more main dishes that aren’t soups, stews or casseroles!
Thanks!
Xx
I would love to see more gluten-free recipes! Your recipes rock and I’m not sure how to rework them to be GF.
Just found you thru KERF…love your blog…inspiring and relatable…have already tried your ‘crack wrap’…kids LOVE it and so do I…a real winner!!!
Thanks, Maria! Hope you are able to get the book and share it with your kiddos!
I’m really loving the wannabe recipes! I’m also a fan of hummus recipes and flavored nut butter recipes. And I really want a copy of your book! Congrats
I’m a fan on Facebook!
Hey Mama Pea! I’m a new reader and just purchased your book today! I’d love to see more gluten-free reci-peas. I’ve already bookmarked just about every GF recipe on your site.
Yay!!! I’ll throw in a few extra gluten-free recipes just for you. (PS Try the cinnamon toast crunch!!!)
Just found your website after seeing your book on Amazon. So funny! I also have two young kids that I’m trying to raise on healthy foods. I sometimes feel vary alone. I’m so glad I found the Peas!
This is so exciting! I love that you just found us and that we have so much in common. Hope you are able to get the book and stick around for the fun!
I’m a new follower and now a fan on FB! I’m with Emily, it’s hard getting my man to try new things, especially without meat…but I’ve loved everything I’ve tried
I would like some other variations of “kind” bars. Yours are so good and so much cheaper!!
I have plans for one…
I’m new here (found you through Vegetarian Times) so I will take each and every recipe you care to give!
Thank you for the opportunity to win your book and other goodies!
Oooo I would love to win a copy of a signed Mama Pea cookbook! I adore mine already…already have plans to make new recipes this week! BUT, I could give mine to a friend…that is requesting more vegetarian recipes..and I could keep the autographed one
& I would LOVE some more recipes using wonton wrappers! Random, I know, but I love using them!
I just became a fan on FB. I would love to see more breakfast recipes.
Ohh I would love the autographed book!!! M favorite recipes are the main meals!
Ana
i have no doubt that i’ll love whatever recipes you decide to feature, but i especially like the “makeover” and dude-friendly ones!
I would like to see more 30 minute meals. It’s a challenge with family, school, and work…and using a few processed foods as possible! Of course, if anyone can do it – it’s Mama Pea!
Best wishes on your crazy weeks! You’ll rock!
More summer recipes using fresh fruit!
LOVE the book!! I stayed up and read it cover to cover. Thank you for color pictures of everything – it’s hard to find cookbooks that do. Now I want to make every recipe because they look so good.
I would only ask for more crockpot recipes or easy school lunches. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Tam, so glad you enjoyed it!
I would love more of the “homestyle” type recipeas- the chickpeas and dumplings, mini meatloaf muffins, etc that teach my hubby he can eat vegan with me and be totally satisfied! Thanks much!
I also like/love you on Facebook. Thanks for the contest.
Meatless meals!!
I’d like to see more entrees and sides. My BF and I are trying to move further into the veggie realm and I always need tons of ideas and inspiration for entrees. The last meal I made him involved corn on the cob, roast sweet potato and broccoli. He loved it but I would have appreciated more pizzazz, if you know what I mean.
I also joined you on Facebook!
I’m a fan on facebook!
I love your “Pealightful” series and would love to see more ideas there. Also, I’m a big fan of any quick recipes that don’t involve too much prep or stove time!
I would LOVE to see more make-ahead-and-freeze meals or just quick and easy meals.
ps. does this count if I already am a fan on facebook??
I would love more dessert recipes! LOVE vegan desserts!!
I preordered your cookbook CENTURIES ago and FINALLY got it in the mail yesterday!! I got off work and there it was in my kitchen waiting for me in all its glory! I was so excited I did a little song and dance to myself… and then I started flipping through it. I amost “pea’d” myself when i saw you have the carb counts to all the recipeas!! I’m a type I diabetic so that is VERY helpful. So I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your magical cookbook! It is seriously the best one I have ever had! I’m considering buying an extra copy so i can have a goo-stained one I use all the time, and one that stays pretty on my shelf
So as to what kind of recipea I’d like to see more of, I would say, “Make anything your heart desires, because I’m sure it will be fabulous and I will love it”!!
That is so sweet. I just read your whole comment out loud to Pea D because it tickled me so. Thank you! I hope to give you more delicious, nutritious recipeas!
I am a new fan on your Facebook page!
I would love to see more breakfast ideas! It’s my favorite meal of the day and I just can’t get enough.
I would love more quick and easy lunches that I could pack and take to work with me.
I love all your recipes! Since we are trying to eat low fat, I would have to vote for low or no fat recipes. Also, what to eat for lunch in a hurry
I love your dinner entrees…they are always delish!
I’m a fb fan!
I’m a fan on facebook!!
Do you ever use a dehydrator? I bought one and don’t know a whole lot about what I can do with it yet. Maybe you could highlight different ways to use the tools/appliances you use a lot in your own kitchen rather than certain types of food.
I would like to see more meals that are quick to pull together for week night dinners. I usually make salads for dinner at least once during the work week, but I would love to learn some delicious, healthy, and quick meals I can make for my hubby. We are not vegetarians (yet!) but he is actually adjusting well to our veggie nights and all the meatless meals I trick him into eating and thinking they have meat!
And I just “liked” Peas and Thank you on Facebook.
I’m a college student living in the dorms, so I really appreciate simple, easy recipeas that taste amazing and are quick to make! I rarely make food for myself (usually I eat in the dining center, no bueno!) and when I occasionally do I’ve love to try out some of your simple recipeas, as long as the ingredients are easy to find at my local grocery store.

Seasonal recipes, please! Though seasons vary all over the country, and you’re lucky enough to live so near California, we crave recipes that are in line with our seasonal eating. Thank you!
I am a lazy vegan cook, so appreciate recipes with few ingredients and ease of prep/ clean-up. Thanks!
I’m a big fan of the pealightful recipes! Also, recipes that can be quick for work/lunch.
I would love more smoothie and snack recipeas. I am also dying for that ceramic mug!
Since we don’t eat dairy, I’d love to see dairy free recipes.
I liked you on fb
I would love to see more recipes without faux meats. I love all your recipes!
Loving the cookbook! I would like to see you redo things like candy bars, E.i. twix, and other everyday Not-so- good-for-you snacks!
Congratulations on your book! Love the vegan values meals. I would love to see more kid-lunch-box ideas too.
I “liked” you on Facebook!!
I’d love to see more, “we eat this on days when we don’t have much time to spend cooking” and more, “little kid (or toddler, even) friendly” meals! Thanks!
I would love to learn new slow cooker recipes. Having an eleven month old has taken cooking dinner to a new more challenging level!!
I like you on Facebook. Also, in real life
I’d love to see more quick meals – I can never get enough of easy lunches that I can pack for work. : )
I’d love some more Pealightful meals and some more slow cooker meals too!
Trying to convert the family to veg and would love more wannabe recipes to switch them over…also anything that subs cheese!
Also just “liked” your page on fb!
I would love to see more high protein lunches that can be eaten cold…other than salads. I don’t always have access to a microwave and a salad can be difficult to eat when I am driving down the road!
Also, quick and easy weeknight meals. Some nights are so crazy busy, we may only be at home for 20 minutes at a time and it can be difficult to get the kids something to eat that will keep there energy levels up for gymnastics/baseball/cheerleading/soccer…oh yeah, and we need the energy to keep up with them!
I am the only vegetarian (forced vegan) in the house. My husband and son are die-hard meat eaters and my daughter kind of floats in between the two. This makes meals a little more difficult, but at least everyone likes their fruits and veggies!
I have to say, I love that your recipes are not soy heavy! So many veggie cookbooks lean heavily on soy as their protein source when there are so many options out there that get overlooked!
I, like many other people, would love to see more meals that my meat-loving boyfriend would eat!! Usually he sees a dinner plate with lots of vegetables and immediately assumes it won’t be appetizing and he won’t be full. Help me help him and other carnivores out there
I also already liked you on facebook!
I’d love more wannabe recipes and smoothie recipes.
I’m already a facebook fan!
I’d love more GF recipes!

Your peapack is peafect for me & the Sweet Pea that i’m growing, due Nov 3
I bought you’re book today! At first I couldn’t find it and i made the BN employee look for it… but success! i’m an aspiring vegetarian… but dont do tofu, beans and well im what you might call picky.. but you’re book brought tears to my eyes! i just love reading about your little family!
You are so nice! Thank you!
I would love to see more recipea’s that don’t require a lot of ingredients that I may not have around the house.I love your quick and easy meals the best, or more things requiring hummus or Yummmm sauce heh
Or maybe for Lulu’s sake more pickle recipeas
You are quite the busy pea!
I’m always looking for more vegan entrees (and yours are always delicious), so that’s my pick.
I love learning new meatless meals and healthy desserts. You can never have enough guilt free goodies or quick, easy & healthy meals… so more of those would be great.
I would love to see more “beefy” recipes. The Hubb’s biggest complaint is that vege meals leave him hungry and wanting more. I have been able to trick him in the past, but he’s getting sneakier and starting to read recipes. I made the Mmmm sauce and as he licked his his lips and fingers (yes, I saw you double dip!) he found the empty garbonzo bean can, immediately turned up his nose and declared as a committed bean-hater that it tasted “beany” all along. I rolled my eyes, but was secretly glad that there was more for me!
I love the wannabe recipes too and would love to see more of those. Personally, I like ethnic food so I love when you do your twist on Mexican and Asian dishes. Perhaps more Middle Eastern recipes?
Duh!?! ReciPEAS not recipes- oops!
Easy, healthy, quick entrees! I cook for my me and my fiance after a full day at work and sometimes I just need dinner to be made quick! I am also helping my fiance transition to a healthier lifestyle and he loves your recipes!
I would like to see more meals that are soy free.
puzzle umbrella, i die. i want!
it’s hard to ask for recipes because here is what my thought process has been–”oooh! ask for smoothie recipes! that cake batter smoothie can’t be beat. or can it…can SHE!?!?” then i realize, um, hello, that COOKBOOK that just arrived already has some flagged smoothie recipes. If the only good thing that came out of that tortured Tammy Bahama restaurant visit was that recipe, it was worth every awkward moment.
then i think–”oooooh! quick breads (done!), bars (done, done & done), cookies (check!), brownies (single chine, double check!)” and i then realize, i need to visit your PeaLightful Plan page and just leave well enough alone!!!
It’s so cute that you are telling me the stories out of the book
I hope you are having a great weekend!
I love dinner recipes, especially beefy ones
Id love some more veggie burger recipeas!!
I would love to see some more sugar- and gluten-free desserts
As a busy student/worker, I would really love to see some crockpot-friendly or freezable veggie recipes, particularly those that feature beans/tofu and not fake meat (so they’re budget friendly too!) Love your site and your new book!
I would love to have more recipes for quick, yummy dinners! My teenage son became a vegetarian over a year ago and a vegan about 6 months ago. I am trying very hard to accommodate his dietary commitment with delicious, nutritious dinners. Getting a little tired of curry and stir fry……
I love your blog and plan to buy the book today!
Thanks so much!!!
Liked your facebook page yesterday…..second contest entry….woooo whoooo!!!!
More quesadilla / mexican recipes peas!
I became a Facebook fan. Just discovered your blog and ordered your cookbook so still checking your recipes out. Big thing for us is having recipes that are relatively quick but yet delicious and healthy – the ultimate quest. Eating fresh involves the inevitable prep of chop, chop and more chopping. Any tips in the recipes re. how to break up the work so that dinner is quick once we walk in the door – eg. in evening before or morning, do step 1 to 3. Also, if you could do up meals vs. recipes, love that approach – Jamie Oliver does it in “Meals in Thirty Minutes” and it’s a big hit in our house.
Thanks, Sharon! I’m on it!
I now like you on Facebook.
Just bought your book this weekend! I keep pouring over the pages, laughing, oohing and aahhing and shooting dirty looks at my husband when he tries to interrupt my pea lovin’ reverie. Awesome job on the book. I can’t wait to try out your recipes.
Thanks, Mel! I love that your loving it! Now, husband, shush!
I liked Peas on Facebook! I also tried the sloppy Josephines this week, and they were awesome. I’m not vegan, so I like recipes like that, which don’t require the purchase of faux meat or cheese.
I’d love more comfort, cozy food (similar to your chickpeas and dumplings) as we start to get closer to fall!
I already like ya on Facebook! I like ya a lot.
Oh gosh, I just recently discovered your blog and can’t believe what I’ve been missing! I have so many recipes bookmarked to try and while there are no little peas here the mister (and the dogs!) approve of the ones we’ve tried so far. Congrats on your book!
Yayyyyy! So glad you found me too!
I would like to see more pealightful recipes! I am trying to loose some weight and would like to see filling recipes packed with protein and nutrients but not too fattening
I would like more recipeas without beans. Your recipeas with beans always look scrumptious, but I have never been able to acquire a taste for beans. Thank you for the awesome giveaway!
I’d love to see vegan BFL meals… as I’m giving it a go tomorrow! Thanks and congratulations on your success.
*Namaste*
Renee
Good luck. (got your emails–I’m glad you found what you need!
I especially appreciate egg-less baked goods. And I am now a facebook fan!
Hmm, I’d love to use my juicer more, but I feel kind of guilty throwing away the pulp. Anything you can whip up with the leftovers (there was maybe a cracker recipe once)? Also, some more pack-and-go type recipes. Thanks!
I love making and trying food from different regions of the world, maybe once a week or month you could make an authentic or famous dish with a vegan twist! I’d love to see that.
EVERYDAY I LOOK TO SEE IF YOUVE POSTED ANYTHING NEW. YOURE FAMILY MAKES ME SMILE. THE GIRLS ARE SOOO CUTE.
IM THE ONLY VEGETARIAN IN MY HOUSE SO I HAVE TO COOK 2 MEALS. I NEED EASY MEALS THAT ARE GOOD FOR LEFTOVERS.
I’d really like to see more recipeas that I can take to-go. This semester I’m at school for 9 hours straight with no lunch break, so some more recipeas that I could stick in my lunch box, not have to heat, and munch in class would be great.
Good luck this weekend with the book numbers! Just posted on fb.
Make ahead meals might be helpful. Also, good sources of protein for teenage athletes. (My soccer player eats plenty but I’m always looking for new ideas.)
I would love more gluten-free or wheat-free recipes! While I don’t have celiac disease, I find that avoiding wheat works for me
.
Congratulations, Mama Pea!
More dessert recipes and high protein lunch or dinner meals!
I came for recipes when I first started a plant strong diet……I stayed for the humor….although the great recipe and fun food ideas seem to keep coming as well! Got a book for myself and gave one to my girlfriend. But I would love a signed copy and know exactly who I would give my copy to!!
Thanks so much for your support, Lillian!!!
PS I “liked” you on Facebook….would have done a long time ago if I had known!! Congrats on the books success! Hope you reach your goal
Cookbook ordered and on it’s way! Can’t wait. Love your blog…
Thank you!!!
I am not vegetarian but love your cookbook. I want recipes that are healthy recipes I can cook my family, but oh so tasty, they will not even know how good it is for them! Just like your cookbook! Thanks!
Thank you, Amy. I am so glad you think that everyone can enjoy this book—I wholeheartedly agree!
I am getting ready to have our second child, so right now I would love to see more make ahead or crock pot meals…and desserts, because momma can always use dessert!!!
I would love to see more one pot meals or easy lunch ideas.
I liked you on FB…I don’t know why I didn’t do it before…darn pregnancy brain!
I’m a fan on facebook now.
I would love to see more dinner recipes that are quick and easy. All of your recipes are amazing, can’t wait to check out the book!
Quick lunches that kids will enjoy.
I agree with some of the other comments, and more high protein recipes would be divine! Especially breakfasts and snacks! & you can never go wrong with more dessert recipeas…….EVER.
I’m off to purchase the book right NOW!!!
I would like to see more quick recipeas. When I get home from work I have about an hour to make my family dinner.
I would like more chickpea and hummus recipes. I can’t get enough of them! Love your blog!
Meals that can be easily frozen!
I’m a facebook fan! I would love creative summer soup/stew recipeas. Healthy, filling, yet not too overwhelming in hot weather.
Also, I had a party last night and used your recipeas for Chex mix, coconut curry sweet potato fries AND cherry cashew chocolate bars and it was all a HUGE hit! Can’t wait for your cookbook!
Oh wow, what a tough question to answer! I love all of your bars and ‘snack balls’ (cookie dough balls light) but I think what I could really use are recipes or instructions for easy weeknight meals. Like 20-minute meals.
Quick and healthy meals! Anything that saves a little prep time in the kitchen is good in my book!
I’d love to see more slow cooker meals – perfect for this time of year in New Zealand! Kel xxx
i would love to win the new book and all of the great little things to go along with it!
WIth autumn just around the corner, it would be awesome to see some harvest-inspired meals
]
I’d love to see more recipes that would be good for brown bag lunches
I’m a college student, so something healthy that would be easily packed to eat on campus. Also, maybe some healthyish desserts! Thanks, Mama! Love what an inspiration you are!
Katy
Congrats on the book!!! I would like to see more lentil dishes!
I’d like to see “gateway” meals. I’ve been toying with the idea of going fully veg and also want to get my boyfriend on board (to facilitate the process). The other week I made some of Jenna’s (Eat, Live, Run) “Boyfriend-Approved Spicy Black Bean Burgers” (with a few alterations) and my boyfriend went nuts over them. After he walked into the kitchen saying, “Something smells delicious!” but then making a face when I said they were meatless burgers, I let him take a bite of one of mine and he then immediately ate two.
I do need to go back and finally try out some of the recipeas/meal plans you did for Pea Daddy’s friend, but even more new to the vegetarian lifestyle meals would be awesome!
Did you see this post? http://peasandthankyou.com/2011/06/21/pea-mail-make-my-man-eat-plants/
I’d love to see more gluten free options as I have been slowly trying to get away from it. Our son is an allergy baby so gluten and wheat free recipes are always something I’m in search of
Liked the FB page (Sharina Gandy) too!
I think it’s a common request, but quick and easy meals are always my favorite!
Love all of your recipeas!!! Keep ‘em coming! I especially like to see recipes that show me how to use tofu and other vegan protein sources.
I would love to see more Asian inspired meals! I love the Noodle Salad with Peanut Mmm Sauce so anything along those lines would be great!
And I fanned you on Facebook!
I’d love some meals to serve my boyfriend, but I know he won’t go for tofu/tempeh/etc. What can I make that is guy-friendly?
Check out this post! http://peasandthankyou.com/2011/06/21/pea-mail-make-my-man-eat-plants/
I’m a fan on Facebook too
Mama Pea, you rock! I’d love to see more veggie recipes that will appeal to the under-5 set, as well as salad dressings and salad suggestions – I need ways to make my daily lunch salad more interesting!
I wish for world peas…..and a copy of this book!
Love the blog! I have been a vegetarian for many years now and am looking to change up my meals. I think you book would be a great way to learn how to incorporate different foods and good for you meals into my families meal time.
I would like to see may recipes that are good to be taken a few days for lunch, quick and easy.

I “Like”d you on facebook =)
I would love to see some lunch-box ideas. My little pea is headed to kindergarten this fall. I didn’t make it to the book store until Friday to get my copy of the book, but I wasted no time and have read it cover to cover. It is wonderful! I love your humor and great recipes. I have easily planned our menus for this week and I think my family is in for a treat!
I’d like more filling breakfast recipes. I also really enjoyed the pealightful series.
I would Love to see more recreations of popular chain restaurant’s menus:) Although I’m not picky anything you post is so appeasing~
im a fan on facebook!
I would love to see lots of dessert recipes! I love sweets! Thank you!
more casserole type dinner recipes!
I am always in the market for veggie/vegan recipes that still satisfy my meat-loving husband!
All of your recipes look delicious, but I especially like the ones with common ingredients and that don’t contain faux meat so more of those would be great! (I am going to try the Mmmm sauce this week- can’t wait to try it!)
And I’m now a fan on Facebook!
How about a whole series of condiment recipes to go along with those ketchup recipes? Maybe there is another cookbook in your future!
Actually I’d love more of the “value” meals, main dish meals without tofu, and I could never get enough of any of your baked goods! Thanks for asking and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I am already a Facebook fan too!
i liked you on facebook!!!
I hope I’m not too late! I would love to see more breakfast recipes please! But congratulations on the book!
I am definitely one of your BiGGEST fans! I also have little girls and I love seeing the healthy recipes you make for your girls. Our favorite is your chocolate chip zucchini muffins and many of your other recipes for baking. I’d love to see more vegan dinner ideas that don’t involve tofu. I’m still too scared of tofu, although I want to try cooking with it eventually! Thanks!
Thanks, Amy! I’m so glad you and the girls are enjoying our recipeas!
I would love to see more quick lunch-time meals
Already a fan on FB!
I would like to see on the go snacks and a replacement for buffalo chicken wraps that doesn’t involve thempeh (or however it’s spelled). If I can’t spell it, I shouldn’t eat it….right? lol.
I would love to see kid friendly recipeas! (breakfast and lunch items for school) Thanks!
I’m a FAN on Facebook!! And I love how much more you’ve been posting on there lately!!
I would like more pealightful meals. I gotta get serious about the bit of extra I’m carrying around, and when I stick to your meal plans, it’s a little less of the extra!!
Vegan values posts are my favorites!!
And I’m a fan on FB!
I would like to see recipes that non-vegan boys in my family would like!haha No really I think it would be great to have some ideas for lunch that are rather cheap and some easy dinner ideas. NOT that you don’t already have these but this is what I am looking for. With this heat we just DON’T want to cook so non-cooked items are a good one too
Thanks so much for your fabulous blog!!!
Shorty
I am now a fan on FB
I like all of your recipes. I think I’d like you to continue the vegan value meals. Some vegan cooking blogs have things I like to look at, but they are not things I could actually do because I never have the ingredients. It’s not worth it if I have to spend $50 at the grocery store for one meal! Also, I really love your snack and dessert items because they are things I can actually do in my small kitchen with my small amount of time. They are not overly complicated. Oh and my kid WILL eat them!
Sarah, are you selling those pea packs at all? I love the mug & would definitely buy one!
Thanks, Taylor! We’ve thought about it, but I’m just not sure if it’d be feasible with the costs. I don’t want to have 80 mugs sitting in my garage
I’ll let you know if we decide to go ahead with it!
I just “liked” you on Facebook!
I like you for reals too. And I love recipeas in tune with the seasons!
I love your recipes.. Can’t pick just one!
