The Night Before

IMG_0113

I’m finding it hard to come up with words to describe how I’m feeling right now.  And as anyone that has spent five minutes around me can tell you, words are never something I’m short on.  Words and hairspray.

It’s like a glossy, weatherproof helmet, I tell you.

As we anticipate our book being released tomorrow, I’m…well, freaking out.

The only other times I’ve felt like this before is the night before I got married.

“For better or worse.“

And the night before Gigi was born.

“It’s a girl!”

Before each of these events there was this growing awareness that a door was about to be opened that can never be shut again.  I became a wife.  I became a mother.  And tomorrow, I become a published author.

Did I mention I’m freaking out?

So today we did a little art therapy.

While we painted, I focused on the incredible things that have already happened in the last 24 hours:

I finally convinced Lulu, after fifteen agonizing minutes, that “Hansel” is the boy and “Gretel” is the girl.  (At least it kept her mind off the scary, scary witch.)

I found Pea Daddy’s to-do list, where wedged between “Watch the Mariners” and “Fold laundry” was “Hug Sarah.”  (The Mariners lost.  I won.)

I learned that Gigi believes chickpeas are called chickpeas “because they look like chick’s bottoms.”  (Note to self: wear more pants.)

I watched the girls teach Pea Kitty how to sit.  (Or in other words, go up to an already sitting Pea Kitty, yell “Sit!” at her and then when she doesn’t budge say “Good girl!”)

But that’s not all.

BlogTour Badge 1

I kicked off the official Peas and Thank You Blog Book Tour over on Kath’s blog.  Her review was my very first.  I’m humbled and honored.

I learned that your generous bids on our signed books + doughballs in The Great Fundraising Act Auction earned Susan $1,309 towards her cancer treatment.  Together, we made a difference!

I selected our giveaway winners:

From the comments: Jessica, Grace (the eggplant parmigiana fan), Jessica, Kat and TrailMomma.

From Twitter: @caroline1985, @cupcakesandkale, @clevelandjoe, @veggieash and @homawoodrum

(email me your addresses to peasandthankyou@hotmail.com)

I received lots of messages from many of you telling me you ordered the book.  Or that you are stalking your UPS guy like a cat that is trying to escape from being trained how to sit until he brings the book. Or that you’ve just received the book and lost any chance of having any productivity for the rest of the work week.  (If you have the book, I’d be honored if you’d share your honest reviews at the online retailers where you purchased it!)

I conducted a very fun, very interesting Facebook chat with lots of brilliant questions, moderately interesting answers from me and I made real connections with many of you.  You should check out the Q&A if you are on Facebook, but I will share with you my favorite question, because for perhaps the only time today, I knew exactly how I felt and what I wanted to say.

And actually, we do have one more thing we’d like to say.

I couldn’t mean it more.

Thank you.

  1. Congrats on your newest accomplishment. Relax and take it all in. It is an exciting time for you (and the family). I may just have to go and pick up a copy.

  2. Kathleen says:

Seriously every time my family (read: my mother) starts pressing me to have children (read: spoiled grandbabies), I insist that I don’t want kids. However, your adorable little ladies are enough to make me change my mind. I know you know you’re blessed, Mama Pea, but I hope that tomorrow reminds you of that now more than ever. Congrats on seeing one of your dreams come true, one of your biggest aspirations become reality–I can’t wait to read the book.

    • MamaPea says:

Oh for gosh sakes, pass the Kleenex. Thank you, Kathleen. My blessings are overflowing and I give thanks every day. But yes, tomorrow I will definitely be looking upward.

  3. Anna says:

Aw so excited for you! :D
I bet you won’t sleep like a little kid on Christmas Ever!
PS you’ve totally inspired me to go Vegetarian/Vegan! :)

  4. Your gunna be Huge Mama. What is the first thing you will do when it gets on the best seller list?

  5. Trailmomma says:

PS: I made 4 of your recipes for dinner this past week for my carnivore husband. He loved each and every one! Next challenge is to get my fruit and veggie hating 3 year old to follow suit!

  6. Tanya says:

    Awww you are so awesome!

  7. nicole says:

I just ordered my copy today and I can’t wait to read/cook! We are starting meatless Fridays and I know Im going to find something awesome to make!

  8. I love the signs! This is such an amazing time for you and the Pea family. I wish you lots of success!!

Lulu’s rainbow heart necklace makes me miss the 80s even more. I am compelled to go buy some neon jelly bracelets now. :)

  9. Katie says:

Oh happy day- preordered from Amazon and my book arrived TODAY! A wonderful surprise. It’s gorgeous and full of more great photos and recipes. There aren’t enough days in the week to try all of the ones I want to try first….. Congratulations on a terrific accomplishment.

  11. Kathleen says:

  12. milehighmark says:

Love the doggie t-shirt on Lulu. Crown and all. Like my 3 lab girls – queens of the castle. More like spoiled princesses. Good luck sleeping tonight! A few rounds of high-speed ‘Bah Bah Pickle’ might be the call for the whole fam tonight. ;-)

  13. Amy S. says:

Congratulations and I hope you have the most amazing day ever tomorrow as your first official day of being a published author! You’re officially on my hero list: Bethany Frankel, Kelly Ripa, Mama Pea. :) I hope someday my blog will be just half of what yours is. :)

    • MamaPea says:

I’m so flattered and honored. I adore Bethenny and Kelly too. And you are an accomplished woman in your own right, Mama. Own it! Much love <3

  18. Steph says:

Congratulations!! The book is phenomenal – delicious recipes by gorgeous Mama Pea, photos of the adorable Pea family – what’s not to love? Hope you enjoy your accomplishment and celebrate well! :)

  19. You can bet I’m going to write a review of your book on Amazon, as well as numerous recipe reviews on my blog.
Those photos at the end are adorable. I love the one of you!
I’m so excited about your book, I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve. You inspire me every day. I’m incredibly happy for you, my friend! :-D

  20. Jennie says:

As I made your quesadillas and salsa Mmm sauce for dinner tonight, I was thinking about you and wondering what you were up to today…Congratulations on the book!! I can’t wait to finally see it and start making some of the yummy things.

FYI – I ate about 1/2 of the Mmm sauce tonight all by myself. I was literally SCOOPING it with pieces of bell pepper and eating it. I *almost* just grabbed a spoon, but had a shred of self-respect that kept me from it.

  21. Durell says:

Congratulations!!!!!!! i know an hour and half early but i like to get the party started early :P

So i have to say today all around was a great day as i had tweet’d you…. leftover tamale pie for breakfast (sorry missed your chat i was at the gym killing it errr more like it killing me O.o), i preordered another one of your books (one for my best friend), and best of all i finally found a donut pan not 1 but 2 and i tell you i screamed when i saw them and raced to grab them ( there might have been some elbow throwing to get to them too :P ).
SO today for me was all about mama pea themed haha.

For tomorrow bask in all your glory and enjoy that you have touched so many people and are an inspiration. Thank you very much for all that you do!! :)

  22. lisampls says:

XoXo! good luck Mama, i hope you get some sleep. i can’t wait to see you on the bestsellers list! seriously.

  23. Rachel says:

Congratulations on this huge achievement! You might not know exactly what will come of it, but that’s kind of part of the fun.
Here’s something crazy: your book comes out on the one-year anniversary of me going veg, and me finding your blog a couple of months later has shifted my perspective about it entirely. Yes the ethics are important, but the why isn’t the only thing that matters, it’s the how- and that’s where you come in. You’ve gotten my meat-loving family to enjoy the veggie meals I make for them, my dad’s cholesterol has gone way down thanks to my cooking most dinners, and plus- I love the food. Once that was in place, I never looked back. I can’t wait to get my copy of the book- I bought it to celebrate a year of being a veggie, but also to support and thank you for making me laugh every day and making all my friends eat vegan food without knowing it! :)

  24. Aimee says:

Congratulations! You are inspiring and so deserving of your success. Your blog has played a big part in the changes to my family’s diet. I will be placing my book order today. All the best to you and your family, such an exciting time for you all. Enjoy every moment.

    • MamaPea says:

Love this, Aimee. I hope you and your family enjoy the book and continue to love the way you are eating! Much appreciation for your support.

  25. Andrina Tisi says:

Congratulations! It will be a huge success.

  26. Ashley says:

On the verge of tears over here!!!! Couldn’t be more excited…but you already knew that and if you didn’t, my post will surely let you know. :) LOVE YOU FRIEND!!! So proud of you + so honored to have a part in this!

    • MamaPea says:

Your friendship is honestly one of the best things to come out of blogging. So thank YOU for being a part of our book and our lives. Love you.

  27. Marianne says:

Enjoy your day tomorrow Mama Pea – such an accomplishment to celebrate.

  28. Aww, this post made me a bit tearful so I can only begin to imagine how you’re feeling!!

Congratulations! :) I hope today is a fantastic celebration for you & your family.

I haven’t ordered the book yet as I live in the UK & have so far only been able to find it through Amazon.com – Amazon.co.uk are only selling it “unofficially” through other sellers if that makes sense? I’m hoping there’ll start selling it properly once it’s released anyway, can’t wait to read it! :-D

    • MamaPea says:

Yes, that is true. We haven’t “officially” sold the international rights yet, but I hope we get that chance! Thanks for the support!

  29. Bitt says:

Yipppppeee! Hope it sells well. If I had more $$ I’d buy one for everyone I know.

  30. Good luck Mama Pea! I’ll spread the word ;)

  31. Heather says:

Congratulations! Since I already have the book I know its absolutely amazing and beautiful. I am going to go pick up another copy today for my friends birthday as I know she will love it also. Enjoy the moment…..you deserve it!

  32. Elisabeth says:

I got my shipment notice yesterday and then had to explain to my children why I randomly shouted “YAY!” at my computer screen. :D

  33. Wahoo! Congratulations!! I’m excited for you! I pre-ordered my book last week ;) I can’t wait to receive it in the mail early August!!!!

p.s. I think that is awesome how much you raised with your donation, just the amount total for the auction is amazing and I was blown away!

    • MamaPea says:

Katie, darn you, making me cry again. Thank you, truly.

I have a few interviews and such and then we are going to take a few friends and family out to dinner and go to a few bookstores. It will be a special day for sure.

  72. Sarah says:

I just got the notice yesterday from Amazon that my book shipped. Couldn’t be more excited. I too was a lawyer (my husband likes to call me a recovering lawyer) and I left the profession 2 years after our daughter was born to start a jewelry business and I haven’t looked back. So happy I stumbled on your blog and can’t wait to get the book. I have to say, I made roasted cauliflower last night and made your “Mmmm sauce” to pour on top. My daughter is an adventurous eater, but cauliflower is not her favorite. One bite in, she smiled and said, “Mmmmm.” I guess the sauce is appropriately named! :)

    • MamaPea says:

Ha ha! I love this story! It’s funny how you say “you never looked back” I think that is the very last like of the entire book. Can’t wait for you to get your copy. Thanks for your love and support.

The signs are so adorable, as is your family ;)

    • MamaPea says:

Thank you, Sylvia. I hope you can get your hands on a copy. There are lots of giveaways going on in blog land!!! (and there will be some here too!)

  91. Carly says:

I can’t wait to get my paws on a copy !!

Also, I couldn’t agree more on the chickpea=chicken butt comment. I’m with her there!

Congratulations, I hope you enjoy every second of today!

  92. Rose says:

I have been counting down the days until payday so I can finally order your book. You are such a talented writer and have been a good blog friend over the years – I can’t wait to see the fruits of your labor.

  93. Gina says:

I’m still waiting (incredibly impatiently) for my book but I did read the sample available from iTunes yesterday. It was amazing. I am so grateful that I found someone similar to myself in the blog/ vegan world to identify with. Who has the same values, outlook and lifestyle that I have or wish to embody. And your recipes are not only family friendly, easy to prepare (even for the novice chef like myself) and use commonly found ingredients but budget friendly too. Enjoy all the good that is coming your way Mama Pea. You deserve it :)

And a huge round of applause to all of the bloggers/ bidders/ and folks who donated yeseterday in TGFA. Amazing job everyone!

    • MamaPea says:

For goodness sakes, now I’m a sobby mess. Gina, you’ve pointed out exactly what I hope everyone knows I’m about. Without God, my husband, my kids, the rest of my family and my friends, I am nothing. But He and you all have made me rich with some many blessings, even if I never sell single book. Thank you!

  94. Lindsey Michaud says:

Ah! I am so excited to get the cookbook too!!! And FINALLY my husband is as well. I made some pumpkin protein doughnuts and he is 100% a forever fan.

  112. Congratulations on the big day! (eve?!) My copy is in the mail and I cannot wait. I’m already considering sending a copy to my mom! (I made tamale pie for her this weekend and she loved it!)

You should be so proud of all the hard work you’ve done to make meat-free meals accessible and appetizing to so many people! It’s seriously inspiring. I love all of the recipes I’ve made of yours and I hope to document the next few (from the book!) on my new blog (eek!) Enjoy this week! And for the record – your girls look adorable in the last picture!

  113. Congratulations!!! I could not be more excited for you, and I can’t wait to receive my copy. Your recipeas have been vegan lifesavers for me! 123. Anne says:

Mama Pea, thank YOU for showing everyone that healthy eating can actually be delicious. Because of you, I’ve actuuaally persuaded my family to cut back on their meat intake (your recipes are THAT good). You are leaving such a positive impact on so many lives, and I can’t thank you enough :)

HAHAH oh and I dieeed when reading the comment about Gigi and chickpeas. Kids are so creative nowadays.

  126. I’ve been stalking the Barnes and Noble website all morning to see if my copy has shipped yet! :) I hope you and the rest of the Peas soak up every minute of this special day!

  127. Helen says:

Congratualtions lady! I want to thank you for sharing your passion about foods and life in general. You are such an inspiration :)

  128. Chand says:

So happy for you Sarah. I can’t believe how long Gigi ‘s hair is! Remember when you cut it and so many people gave you a little bit of a hard time? Hair grows !

  129. Lauren says:

Yeah yeah yeah! Are you going to be doing any type of book tour? Perhaps a stop just north of you in Seattle??

  130. Ann Claire says:

So I went to Barnes and Noble today and bought an SAT book and your book. One of which I can’t put down and the other I’m still trying to convince myself to open, I bet you can guess which is which :)
There’s about a million things I could comment on, but I’ll just say:
    1. I had no idea Pea Daddy’s name is Chris
    2. I got so excited when you mentioned Philippians 4:13 at the beginning, that was the theme for a retreat I went on earlier in the summer and it just made so happy.
    3. THANK YOU for sharing your talent, humor, adorable girls, and amazing recipes with us through the blog and book :)

    • MamaPea says:

      Ha ha ha!!!!

      1. Yup, his name is Chris. And I love him.
      2. Philippians 4:13 is my favorite verse ever. He is the source of all my strength.
      3. You are welcome and absolutely too sweet. It is my pleasure to be able to share it all with you.

  131. Just reading your post has me all choked up! So I texted my husband and said “by the way, while you are in Birkdale, swing by Barnes and Noble and pick me up the new Peas and Thank You book…it just came out today” and you know what, he just called and said they were leaving Barnes and Noble and was on his way home. I didn’t dare ask if he had the book because I’m not ready to be disappointed. We are going to the mountains for two days…what better quiet time reading than your new book…please pray that he brings it home for me!

  132. Michelle says:

So excited for your book release!! As a fellow Portlander, as soon as I see it on the shelves at Powell’s, it will be all mine! It’s so great that someone as wonderful as you (and the whole Pea family) takes the time to share your life with the rest of us both virtually and now on paper!

  133. cathy says:

I preordered two of your books! One for me and one for my bestie. :^) My kids are not the biggest veggie fans so I’m hoping they will be after I whip up some of your treats!

  134. natalie says:

today’s the big day! can’t wait to get my book in the mail! :) Congratulations!

  135. Morgansmenu says:

Congrats!! Seriously, it is so wonderful. Um, your hair looks absolutely perfect in that last photo. Could it even be a wig? :) I am so happy for you, Sarah! And what a good feeling to know that it WILL make people feel good and eat well.

  136. courtney says:

Happy Book Release Day!!! I just got the email that my copy is ON MY DOORSTEP(!!!!)–I may have to fake a stomachache after lunch just so I can head home and check it out! Can’t wait to get cooking! Congratulations Peas and Thank You!

  137. I’m so excited imagining what this must feel like for you. I have no doubt that the wedding and childbirth comparisons are right on! There is a Barnes & Noble right here near my office. Very tempted to go pounce on the pile of your books and scream, “Sarah! I KNOW her!” a la Buddy the Elf. Smiling’s my favorite, after all, and you give me plenty of occasions to do so. :)

    Congratulations!

  138. Kate says:

I got it! I love it! I love all the pics and stories of the girls! I love the recipes! I love you! Congratulations on a beautiful job well done! Yay Mama Pea!!!!

UPS man just dropped off my book!!!!!! :) It’s beautiful. Great job and congrats, Mama Pea!

  142. Congrats on the book release, I’m so excited for you!

  143. kelsey says:

i’m so happy for you!!! you deserve all the best and i can’t wait to read your book :]
    congrats!

  144. Stephanie says:

OMG @ Lulu in the third picture from the top. Too cute :)

  145. Jill in Chicago says:

CONGRATS! (And thank YOU!!!) I will be getting my book in a few days – can’t waaaaiiit!

  146. Anne says:

Doing a happy dance! I went to Barnes and Nobel and purchased your book. I can’t wait to sit down and literally read it from cover to cover. I glanced through it while sipping an iced tea at the in-house Starbucks. I have to say, though, I had a hard time finding it. I thought it would be on the “new release” table, but I had to go to the second floor to the cookbook section and look and look and there it was on the top shelf – above Rachel Ray and other notables. At least you were in good company. I snapped a few pictures on my cell phone and will try to send them to you when I download them. Not sure you can receive pictures from your pea-bloggers, but I’ll give it a try. I had to ask the girl at the information desk where your book was. She thought the title was adorable and asked, “Do you know the author?” I said, “Yes, I blog with her.” tee hee – she meant do I know the author’s name not do I personally know her, which I personally don’t, but feel like I do. Anyway, Mama-Pea, I’m thrilled to finally have your book and really do feel like I’m celebrating with a friend. I hope your books are flying off the shelves.

    • MamaPea says:

So glad you have it, Anne. I know that shelf position can be kind of weird, especially the first day. We’ve talked to a lot of retailers about tabling us in certain displays in the near future (i.e. Back to School), so I guess I’m just trying to be patient! Thank you for taking a good look for it. I know it will be worth your little quest. And of course you know me! :)

  147. Katie says:

Got up and the book was on my Kindle! Been reading it all day, deciding what to make for dinner. Making some soft pretzels right now! Love to you and I’m gonna tell everyone I know to get this book!

    • MamaPea says:

Thank you, Katie. Out of curiosity, are there just gray scale pictures on the Kindle? And how do they look? I haven’t seen it yet. :)

      • Katie says:

Yes, the pictures are in there – and they look good. Nice and crisp. I was reading with my bedside lamp last night, and I was still able to see them well.

Went to sleep last night chuckling about the mac and cheese story!

  148. Danielle says:

The book was delivered this afternoon and I can’t wait to go through it more in depth. Everything looks simply delish. Yum!

  149. Kristyn says:

Amazon shipped me my pre order yesterday with a delivery estimate of Thursday. Low and behold, I had a package when I got home from work today! Yay for your book coming SO fast! I skimmed through it quick when I got home….what a stunning layout and gorgeous photographs. The fiance and I will be diving into it tonight to see what’s for dinner tomorrow (or dessert…or both =) ). Congratulations to the whole Pea family!

  150. You’re Welcome
And we couldn’t mean it more :D

  151. CONGRATS!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy!

  152. Sara says:

Oh. My. Goodness!! Just came home to a very Peasing surprise! (does it work?) Got my book. Already making the Falafel tonight for dinner :)

ps. LOVE that in every pic LuLu has something smothered all over her face….

  153. Brenda says:

I ordered it today from Amazon Canada. It’s out of stock! Is that because it sold out quickly, or it’s not available in Canada yet? They did not suppy an estimated shipping date. I’m sure it will be worth the wait!

  154. Allison says:

You have inspired me (and quite obviously many, many others!) to cook in ways I never thought possible. Thank you so much for inviting us all into your kitchen! Look forward to the book, and hopefully many more books to come.

    God bless!!

  155. YOU ARE THE CUTEST EVER.

And I’m sorry too that Peas and Thank You is sold out at my book store. I will try more stores tomorrow, but the truth is I really had to pee and had groceries in the car so I only had time today to stop at one store, which is why I was so bummed, and crossing my legs trying not to grab my crotch in public like a toddler.

Have I mentioned yet how proud of you I am? That ever since I noticed Gigi wearing my pajamas on this blog a year ago that I’ve been dying in anticipation for your book (even before I knew you were writing a book?!) This just goes to show you two things. 1. I’m a pretty good predictor of trends and 2. You are amazing.

I hope you are having the best day ever. You deserve every single second.

    Hugs,
    Erin

  156. I’m sure your book will be a huge success ! Don’t fret! Everyone loves Mama Pea:)

  157. CONGRATS Mama and the rest of the Pea’s!! Such an amazing accomplishment! And your hair looks FABULOUS in that last picture. Like a sculpted, shiny, “did you just come back from the salon” helmet of tresses.

  158. I got your book in the mail today and already devoured it from cover to cover! I love how tasty your recipes look and the kind of message you are giving your children about the importance of being healthy. You are what you eat, and I think your book really backs that old saying up. I’m inspired by your lifestyle and I’m sure that everybody else will be too. The stories are hilarious and make me wish more cookbooks were laugh-out-loud funny like yours is. I can’t wait to start cooking up a storm with my new artillery!

  159. Jamie Leigh says:

Ohhh I love the cookbook!!! It is my favorite, and I have alot!!!! I love you mama pea!!! Your my most favorite! :)

  160. Just read Jenna at Eat, Live, Run’s review of your book and can’t wait to check it out. I’m sure it will be a great successssss! Congrats congrats congrats.

  161. sophia says:

Oh Mama Pea, you certainly know how to make us readers tear up! Loved the whole family sending out the message together.

The UPS men don’t know what hit them…I’m half-waiting for news to breakout anytime about UPS men being attacked by ladies all over the world eager to get their hands on a book “about a mother and her peas.”

  162. Katie says:

So excited for you, lady. I’M getting choked up thinking back to the Lovin’ days! Can’t think of anyone more deserving of a book deal. And I was so excited to get my Amazon e-mail today confirming shipment! Celebrate :-)

  163. Natalie says:

Congratulation on the book and all the thanks. It means so much to sit down and really think about everything you are thankful despite being over excited and crazy it really is easy to loose yourself.

It would be an honor to receive the first copy of Peas and Thank You’s here in New Zealand, or am I already too late?? How do I got about ordering a copy overseas?

    Thanks Sarah and Congratulations x

  164. Alice says:

Yay! I got home this afternoon and found your book propped against my front door. Can’t wait to dig into to it this weekend!

  165. Amy says:

Congratulations Mama Pea! And thank you, for allowing your readers to be a part of this journey. I cannot WAIT to see your book’s name on the bestseller lists – there is no doubt in my mind that it will be there.

And while tomorrow is a huge milestone (and my lucky number), I learned something pretty profound today. I typed in “peas and thank you” into Google (using Chrome), and the auto fill option didn’t bring up “book” or even “blog.” Nope, the most popular option was “peas and thank you mmm sauce.” Your book hasn’t officially been released yet and already your sauce is a legacy.

So proud of you and yours!

    • MamaPea says:

The funny thing is, Mmmm sauce isn’t even in the book! Maybe #2 :) Thank you so much for wonderful comment and all the love.

      • Amy says:

All the more reason to thank you for saving some awesome recipes for the blog…not that any blog reader will be without your book. I wonder what recipe will become synonymous with “Peas and thank you” next – I mean cookie dough balls and mmm sauce already top the list.

        =)

  166. Jen says:

Love the book!! Just found your blog and saw that your book was released today. One thing I especially am enjoying is all the stories and connections to the recipes. Can’t wait to start cooking!

  167. Haley N says:

i bought the book today at barnes and noble! woot woot! i started to bookmark the recipes i wanted to make and i realized that i was marking every single page haha. the book is absolutely amazingggg! it is filled with such funny and amusing stories. i can really feel the passion you have by reading through the book :)

  168. Cari says:

Yipee, got my Kindle download this morning and just hanging out in the box this afternoon was my printed copy that I purchased for my sister (who is not only a vegitarian, but a mommy and an attorney). She is really excited, now if I can just talk the awesomely sweet author to personally sign the copy for me all will right in my world.

Sarah, I also want to thank you for your blog, you have the best sense of humor and I know I will get to chuckle everytime I open your blog regardless of the subject. And boy, what I would do for a head of beautiful hair like Miss GiGi (or Gracie as we call her).

Great job on the book, I started mine today!

  169. Taylor says:

Hi Sarah! I bought your book today at Barnes & Noble! I was so excited! I was sad when the cashier didn’t ask me about why I was buying what I did because I just wanted to gush about how awesome your recipes are! I plan to read it all night, who needs sleep right?!

  170. A friend of mine (author of Area 51) is on the NYT Bestseller list right now. And I have a good feeling about your release!!!! How many people get to say that they have TWO friends (I now consider you a friend) on the list? Hopefully me!

  171. Oh my God, I am welling up reading this..the emotion just grew and grew now I’m feeling all excited and nervous FOR you. What a momentus day! I am clapping happy for you and your family and all the love and warm and fuzzies that surround you right now. Honestly, it couldn’t mean more or I couldn’t be happier for you than if I was sitting in the room with you…(that’s too weird, I don’t even know you). But… whatever…yay Peas & Thank You for the mum, wife, friend, author that you ARE. AND not forgetting all those people that supported you to get where you are in this wonderful moment. I give them a wave. Enjoy it…I have no doubt you WORKED for it! xxxx

    p.s funny hairspray comment!

  172. Mern says:

Ordered your book yesterday from amazon, can’t wait for it to be delivered :-)

Here’s to making the best sellers list and what am sure are great reviews to come!
My husband still can’t believe I bought a cookbook!

Sending you lots of love from Flordia!

  173. Congratulations! Healthy food for kids and families is so needed right now and it’s so wonderful that you will be reaching so many people through your book!

  174. Molly says:

Ok I have been slacking but just ordered from Amazon! You have 19 reviews and 5 stars and they gave ME goosebumps, so can’t imagine how you are feeling! Congrats and THANK YOU!

  175. Meghan says:

JUST bought the book, it’s even more beautiful in person! I truly cannot wait to read through it AND start cooking! Congratulations, you deserve it!
