Wacky Wednesday: Slide Slide, Slippedy Slide (VIDEO)

Do you know how to do the Oreo Slide?

Amateurs.  Let the pro do it.

Seriously, I have never been more proud of myself than I am in this very moment.  Thank you for sharing in my glory.

  1. Ashley says:

I’m pretty sure this was amazing!!! Still laughing. :) I’m also pretty sure that I housed about 8 saltines in 1min yesterday. I need to look at the clock next time.

  2. Maura says:

I’m proud and disturbed, all at the same time ;)

    Bravo, Mama Pea!

  3. Runeatrepeat says:

Ben is super impressed with all your food challenge skills. I am threatened.

  4. Melissa @ TryingToHeal says:

    OMG!!!!

    I.am.rolling.in.laughter.

  5. Hahaha it looked like you were chewing something while it slid down–must’ve been practice from all those crudites :) . I have 2 whole things of Newman’s O’s just waiting to be slid down my face. I love how excited Gigi is at the end.

  6. Molly says:

ha I am studying to be a teacher and I am TOTALLY using this with my students! With Newmans Own of course ;)
Way to show ‘em how it’s done!

    xo-Molly

  7. caronae says:

Seriously Mama Pea, your Wacky Wednesay videos make my life so much better. The middle of the week sucks. I have mountains of reading, my boyfriend is in DC, and my life is sad. And then I watch your video and everything is happy again and I feel ready to tackle the rest of the week.

    So, hooray for Wacky Wednesday.

  8. Namaste Gurl says:

Well done, miss Mama Pea– I knew from the start you’d win, although I was kinda thinking Lulu would ;)

    • MamaPea says:

My favorite part of the first video, if you watch it again, is that the whole time I am setting it up, they are just staring at that Oreo package, undressing it with their eyes. And Lulu is about to jump out of Pea Daddy’s lap, she’s so excited.

  9. i am ROLLING! you guys are hilarious…i made sure to show nate the video of pea daddy running past the speed trap in y’alls neighborhood…BIG mistake :)

  10. Sara says:

    Now THAT’S talent. You rock!

  11. Jill says:

that is the funniest thing ever. u made my month!

  12. Hahah! That was seriously impressive. I am now completely bummed I don’t have Newman-O’s/Oreos in the house so I can try. I also loved how Lulu immediately ate her Oreo, despite you saying not to 2 seconds before, lol.

  13. Sarah says:

That was hilarious! Props to you, Mama Pea!

  14. Holy hilarity! I stay up just to watch this and it was worth it :-)

Love that Lulu couldn’t even wait for the instructions to eat hers. My kind of girl :-)

  15. Christin L. says:

    Absolutely amazing! :D

  16. You look awesome! I love the belt too. ;)

I am cracking up!!! This is awesome, you’re a champ! I especially love the pride I see in your face at the end. Do this at Foodbuzz please?

  17. liane says:

Ok, that was hilarious. That is some talent you have, Mama Pea! :)

  18. LOL I love the Peas!!!! You have mad skills. I also just forwarded this video to my husband, so now when he goes grocery shopping while I’m at work this weekend, I’m pretty sure I can expect to come home to a container of Oreos. ;)

And double LOL — does the first video begin with Lulu smacking herself in the face?! haha!

  19. elise says:

hahahaa…i was moving my face along with you like a creepo.

  20. love it. ‘does this turn you on pea daddy’ —> classic. Thanks for the study break between my exams. I might try this with my students. We’ll make it a race…20 college kids…should be fun.

  21. Emily says:

Ahhhh that was INCREDIBLE! Haha I’m impressed.

  22. Gliding Calm says:

    hahahaha i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you guys!!

  23. Gliding Calm says:

i mean………….you all just make me feel SO WARM and happy inside. THANK YOU for spreading so much joy and fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Pearl Lee says:

LOL omgod i found myself clapping when it got into your mouth! yaay!

  25. My tongue was actually sticking out as if I had the Oreo on my face. I would do that same thing when I used to feed Ave her food and open my mouth like I was the one getting the bite. Good laugh before bed:) So funny!!!

  26. Eden says:

    Mama pea,
I have a new found respect for you (not that I didn’t before). I wonder if it has some sort of skin or anti-wrinkle benefits. And once again, I love you hair style! Seriously, could you do how to style your hair post? Your always looks perfect in the videos.

    • MamaPea says:

Thanks, Eden. I’m not sure if the hair is “postworthy.” I just got it cut and colored last weekend by the fabulous Angela. But really the only styling is blowdry, flat iron and hairspray (with a water-free spray). Not too exciting, but I’m flattered anyway!

  27. Maria says:

I couldn’t have asked for a better present on my birthday than this Wacky Wednesday video. I think I started twitching my own face as I watched you conquer that Oreo.

  28. Marianne says:

I feel a sudden urge to buy Oreos, and I don’t even really like them. I also want to figure out how to make this a party game.

But I noticed the kid in the example video wasn’t doing it right – he had the chocolate side on his face, not the white part, therefore making the sliding infinitely easier. Therefore you totally kicked that kid’s ass.

  29. Lana says:

That was AWESOME I started wiggling my face as you were doing it in hopes that it helped! I hope no one saw me because I am in a computer lab on campus…hahaha.

  30. Sasha says:

OMG this was too cute! Gross but cute ;)
    I’m impressed by your talent.

I loved that Lulu ate hers first; poor girl should have been given another to prove her mettle. She was just taste-testing before the competition after all!

While I’m on here, I need to reiterate that I still absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your cookie-dough sarah-bars. Made 3 batches this week (for myself and friends) and a batch of banana bread. (A second batch is baking while I type this.) It’s what I gift friends on their birthdays :)

I live in India and if you guys ever visit this part of the world, just holler and I’ll be happy to host you all.
(And film your whacky wednesday videos to boot!)

Now off I go to buy me some oreos…

    • MamaPea says:

Hello Sasha! So glad you’ve had recipe success. I would love to visit India! Now I’m on a mission to make that happen. Oreo Slide for airfair fundraiser, perhaps?

  31. Barbara says:

hahaha! why was i moving my face along with you? crazy. oh, and don’t forget to tell us how that new oreo facial works;-).

  32. Chase says:

    Hahah! Hilarious! Very impressive!

  33. Jenny says:

Thank you for that great video!! I could not stop laughing! I always enjoy how you don’t take yourself too seriously!

  34. Crazy fun – Thanks for the laugh this morning :)

  35. Cynthia K says:

High-five, Mama Pea, that was outstanding!

  36. I just took my love for you to the next level – for real. That was so funny. I love how Lulu did not listen. :) Typical 2 (or 3?!) year old. I didn’t know Gigi’s real name was Gracie – my absolute favorite name. My aunt wanted to name her dog Gracie last year and I called her up in tears telling her that her first born great niece’s name was going to be that so she could NOT name her dog Gracie! :)

  37. Crystal says:

HAHAHAH this was the best video to start my work day! Your family is awesome! I’m going to try this…

  38. Lauren says:

Whoop Whoop! This deserves some kind of medal! I think craft time today should incorporate this. ;)

  39. So funny! My favorite part is when Lulu doesn’t wait for the challenge but just starts eating the Oreo. She is so stinkin’ cute. :-)

Did I hear you right–was that package of Oreos the soccer game snack??? I am so not looking forward to the food corruption that will inevitably come as my little one gets older!

  40. Heather says:

OWNED! You just made my morning, Mama Pea. SO CUTE.

  41. Ana says:

    Really funny, you are talented!
And I kept tilting my head along as the oreo got closer to your mouth…! :-)
    Ana

  42. your facial contortions were hilarious! good job! :)

  43. That. was. awesome. You should go on Ripley’s Believe It or Not! ;)

  44. Hahahaha I remember doing this at a New Year’s party my freshman year of high school and all the girls beat the boys. I miss those days….you totally owned that thing though!!

  45. Alison says:

That is seriously the most hilarious thing I have seen in a long, long time! You freaking rocked that Oreo slide!

  46. Nikki says:

Love it! You guys are too cute :)

  47. Kath says:

That is hilarious and disgusting!! And when you asked if Pea Daddy was turned on I blushed!!

  48. RhodeyGirl says:

    Dude that was INSANE!

  49. Tavolini says:

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! omg, I was rolling :D

  50. Kristy says:

I love waking up to your posts! :) Way to go, Mama!!

  51. I watched the whole thing! Haha, So cute! :)

  52. Kristy says:

Yours was almost as cute as Gigi’s! What is better than icing on your forehead? :-) I wonder how your face felt after having wet icing slide down it….

  53. This was a fantastic start to a Thursday morning! love it.

  54. Allison says:

Oh my gosh… you’re the DEAL! Not only for having the skills to do that, but for being awesome enough to tape it and put it on line. Seriously… you get cooler every day. Thanks for brightening my morning! I know how I’ll be spending my Friday night! :)

  55. I had a rough night with a sick little one and this video totally made my morning. I too was contorting my face with you and I may have to tackle that challenge soon.

Thanks for a smile! Now can you heal my daughter’s ear infection? Pretty Peas?

  56. Kim says:

I haven’t laughed that hard in a couple of days! Thanks for sharing!

  57. brandi says:

Alright – this totally made my morning. Too funny!

And – this may be weird – but Pea Daddy’s voice is so much lower than I would have thought! Not that I’ve ever spoken to him in person, but it’s always funny to hear people talk after only seeing photos.

  58. Shelby says:

That is the greastest thing that I have ever seen.

  59. Felicia says:

    hahahhaha! love itt

  60. Madame Cur says:

    Don’t touch mommy… she’s in the zone.

  61. Paige says:

Haaaaa those videos were awesome. I love how you asked Pea Daddy if he was turned on! Can you adopt me? I’ll be the best 23-year-old daughter you’ve ever had.

  62. Camille says:

I think my favorite part has to be the fact that Lulu just completely forgot about the task and just ate her Oreo. Adorable.

  63. Kelly says:

OMG!! I’m laughing so hard I almost peed my pants!!!

  64. Deirdre says:

This made my morning! You got mad skills! I KNEW Lulu was just gonna eat her Oreo. I’m impressed Gigi didn’t.

  65. My 11 and 3 year-old boys watched the videos with me and we enjoyed every second. I loved when you used your tongue to help the oreo along. So funny! The next time they eat Oreos, I bet I’ll find half an Oreo stuck to their foreheads.

  66. Carbzilla says:

That is crazy impressive and one more excellent reason not to get Botox!

  67. Maren says:

hahaha That was sooo hilarious! I am very impressed mama pea! That takes some serious talent!! lol I’m sure nothing turns Pea Daddy on more!

  68. Holly says:

screw graduating law school….THAT is a feat!!!

  69. Teresa says:

    Dude, one word- Awesome.

  70. Elizabeth says:

    Awesome! Best wacky wednesday yet!

  71. JavaChick says:

I’m with Lulu – if I get an Oreo in my hand, I’m just gonna eat it. That was hilarious though!

  72. haahah this was great goooo mama pea!

  73. jessica says:

love love love this. i just fell in love with your family even more!

  74. Kathy says:

  99. Gena says:

    And glorious it was. LOVE.

  100. I am very impressed – that has got to be harder than it looks. No doubt Pea Daddy tried to have sexy times with you after that! I’m gonna perfect my technique and create a Match.com account for the sole purpose of attracting men with my Oreo slide skillz.

You are now my hero. This is awesome.

  110. Hahahaha! Mama Pea, I just made my parents stop what they were doing to watch those videos with me. I lost it at the giggle fit after you told Pea Daddy he was turned on.

  111. Ilana says:

OMG. I just laughed so hard that I cried. You are amazing.
I have 2 Newman’s O’s left. Wonder if my boyfriend is up for a challenge. Sexyyyy way to spend date night, no?

  112. Jenna says:

“Are you turned on, Pea Daddy?” lmaooo, your family is so much fun!

  113. Jenna says:

Oh, and btw, I made your zucchini lasagna over the weekend when I was with the family and it was a HUGE hit. The first time I ate it was foodgasmic..and the second..and the third…mmmmmm. Thanks for the recipe! That’ll probably be showing up again on the vegan side of our Thanksgiving dinner table, as will plenty more of your recipes! Tell me, what do you usually make or plan on making as a Thanksgiving meal?

    • MamaPea says:

I’m not sure what I’m going to make for our entree this year. Usually we eat all the sides, which my mom is kind enough to make without meat/butter. I really like my Indian Shepherd’s Pie, so I have a feeling that will make an appearance.

  114. baahahahaa! Just when I thought you couldn’t get any cooler, you slide an oreo down your face. You are my hero.

  115. Lisa A. says:

That is impressive. You have definitely got some talent : )

  116. Julie says:

I’m such a later responder on this but this probably is my new “feel-good” video. : ) Thanks Mama Pea. You’re hilarious. Bahaha! : )

  117. Heidi Nicole says:

This is hilarious! I’m bookmarking it and challenging my mom when she comes to visit (she loves oreos!)
