Happy Birthday to Lu
It’s hard to believe that three years ago today I was cursing enough to fill three Swear Jars due to four, that’s right FOUR, failed epidurals.
.
You were completely worth it.
I gaze at you with such wonder and adoration–that all eight pounds of glorious and PERFECT you could have come from me.
I didn’t think I could love you more.
And someone else held you in the highest of regard as well.
Okay, two “someone else”s.
The funny thing is, the more you became YOU, the more I loved.
Big blue eyes,
and goofy grins.
You always make me feel happier, and like life’s burdens aren’t quite as heavy as I make them out to be.
No challenge is too big…
or too hard…
and when life throws a punch,
you aren’t afraid to take whatever it has to dish.
You are one of my best friends,
and I hope you know that no matter what you do,
I’ll be right there, loving you, supporting you, and being so proud of the little person you are.
And wishing you were still in my lap, dozing off (as I try to micromanage the little lives going on around me).
I’m still completely sure that having you was one of the top three decisions I’ve ever made.
Happy Birthday, Lu. I love you more than you’ll ever know.

Happy Birthday LuLu! I hope you guys know that she will read this post in 13 years after she has just stormed up to her room after a huge argument over who is taking the car and she will not be able to be mad at either of you because you are fantastic parents! (Side note: You will most likely be pretty darn rich by this point and i am sure both Gigi and Lulu will be driving their own electric cars complete with bumper stickers that say: My dad’s a lawyer and my mom can cook your mom under the table… Don’t mess with the Peas!

Happy birthday to the special girl! She is so blessed to have you for a mom, just as you feel so blessed to have her. This post got me all teary thinking about M getting older and soon welcoming our next baby.:)
On a lighter note – M has the same shirt as the balloon popping picture and soaked it yesterday playing in the dog’s dish of water. Perhaps that shirt should come with a warning label?
