  1. Well you posted so clearly you didnt need to use your living will….whew! In all sincerity, I hope you are feeling as good as possible given the circumstances.

As for the “non vegan” pump of pumpkin spice…see, those are the things that if I was gonna be DQ’ed as a vegan, I woulda been long ago b/c I just do not get hung up on the nittiest of gritty. Ya know? I do my best and 99% of the time I think I am a Good Vegan, but sometimes I’m sure I stray and oh well, Vegan God strike me down :) I have people write to me to tell me that the such or such spice I used in xyz recipe does not have true vegan status. And I’m thinking, it’s cinnamon? And then I just am like WhatEv.

I will make your mom’s day….she looks soooo young! Did she have you when she was like 12? Seriously if a woman age’s like her mother does, then you’re in good hands, Pea.

Til then, sounds like you’re in the hands of Vicodin or something like that :)

    xoxo

  2. University of Phoenix? Like the online college? They keep wanting me to get an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I emailed them back: “Do you have a PhD program? ‘Cause I already got that.”

    They stopped emailing me.

First, I thought it was Mary Jane on your shirt. Then I got blinded by rage that you were drinking a latte with non-vegan syrup. Then I saw the dance recital and forgot about it.

    Your mom looks great! :)

  3. Maggie says:

Love your pumpkin spice. It’s kind of silly. Non-vegetarians/vegans call me a vegetarian. Vegetarians/vegans call me a phoney (not that I pretend to be one, but I just don’t really do the meat thing). You are a GRRRRREAT vegan.

    Your mom is so pretty!

  4. Emily says:

Glad to hear you are okay! Your curry sounds so good ~ I feel almost ashamed that I got mine delivered last night ;)
Loved your answers in that list *giggle giggle*
I hope you feel tip-top again as soon as possible!

  5. Aisha says:

I love vegetable curry (being indian does that to you). I also love ANTM, it rocks and is the best reality tv for me.
Get well soon, I hope you are ok.
I love the comment you gave your mum over taking a photo of her.

  6. Your blog is hilarious!! Thanks for the laughs!

I do hope that you are feeling better soon from your procedure.

  7. Gillian says:

Your hair always looks professionally coiffed- you are one together, hot mama.

  8. So glad you posted and are feeling ok. :) I love the ‘get well recitals.’ I remember doing stuff like that when I was little. Ahhh…those were the days.

  9. Alison says:

I’m glad you made it through and I hope it’s helping! Guess that means I gotta go buy my own iPhone though. Oh well it’s worth it, I’m not ready to lose you again already!

  10. alyssa says:

let’s be honest. we’d all still love you even IF you drank a veal milkshake. :)

  11. rhodeygirl says:

Hope the procedure went well! You look absolutely gorgeous!

  12. Hope you are feeling better! I love what you said about the pumpkin spice, ha ha. I was pretty upset when I heard it wasn’t vegan, but I might have to compromise once in a while…it’s so good :)

Have a lovely Saturday Mama Pea!

  13. I hope this means it went as well as could be expected :)

#10–totally an exchange my mom and I would have!

  14. Don’t you love when people feel the need to just randomly comment on someone else’s size? Jeesh!

Loved this post and I love that you get emails from University of Phoenix. If you are looking to attend let me know because I apparently have won a bunch of money in the lotto that was held in Russia so I can totally cover tuition for you.

  15. Menden says:

I’m so happy to hear you made it through, haha!

I agree with Gigi – when my alarm goes off, I always feel like I have to get up in the middle of the night too ;)

  16. Abby says:

Will you be conducting a giveaway any time soon with the leftover Vicadin? Just kidding…kind of.

    Get well soon!

  17. Katie says:

I’m glad you’re okay! You deserve that pumpkin spice. I’ve only gotten one this year because they’re so sweet… does one pump less make a big difference?

    Hope you’re feeling better today.

  18. Glad everything went ok :)
You know I’d still love you even IF you drank a veal milkshake while wearing a fur coat AND eating bacon ;)

  19. allijag says:

“Get over it” – that’s why I love you! So glad things went well today mama! :)

  20. FoodCents says:

Glad you could fill out the “survery” in a drug induced state.

I would have thought John Gosselin emails you regularly, but the Univ. of Phoenix peeps really let you know how important being educated by them is.

    Yeah for all going well!!!

  21. kalin says:

does anyone make baby veal milkshakes? cause i bet there’s a market for that…

  22. I’m glad that you are doing well. That drug haze and latte are awesome. I remember doing the same thing.

And how sweet for your girls to “take care of each other” while you rest up. :-)

  23. Keri says:

SO GLAD YOU’RE BACK! and that you survived your procedure… yes, drugs can definitely be wonderful at times like those!

I wish I had kids to give me get-well-soon recitals! (:

  24. gina (fitnessista) says:

hahaha is it sad that i seriously love the pre-op cocktail? it just makes me feel so good :D
so glad you’re hanging in there and have your beautiful family to keep ya company while you recover
    get well soon <3

  25. Hayley says:

I hope you are recovering well and that you’re receiving lots of TLC. We all know how much you give everyone else…I hope you get it in return! From what I can see you have one of the world’s greatest hubbies so I’m not too worried. I definitely need to get back into making and eating salads more…your blog has just put me in the mood for one.

  26. Jaime says:

OK, first…how is it that you look so damn perfect after your doctor’s visit? Gawd woman. :)

And second, I think you just won the award for best blog comment of the week. Baby veal milkshake…. ahahahahaha. So glad that you don’t take yourself too seriously!! Some vegan bloggers are ridiculously uptight these days and it’s nice to see some normality out there!!

  27. You look seriously shaken after your procedure- the flawless hair and makeup give it away. Glad you are home and had a great welcoming party to help you feel better!

  28. polly says:

How can you be that cute after all of that?

I miss Seacrest too. There is so much crap on TV… we need our American Idol fix. :D

Love you, dear friend. Heal up quick as fast cooking oatmeal. (my favorite kind)

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXO

  29. Jocelyn says:

hahaha love this post. Your girls are so cute

  30. your girls are adorable!! i really need to get around to trying that pumpkin spice latte. everyone says its so good.
how did you like the kashi blueberry cereal? I am hesitant to buy it because its quite pricey…

  31. I just figured it out! Gigi looks a little bit like Nicole Richie’s daughter Harlow (http://tiny.cc/8s9MK). Of course, Gigi is much cuter. :)

  32. Diana says:

    Glad everything went ok :)

  33. hemp jogger says:

i know its been over a week, and i’ve read everyday, but no comments. had to delurk to let you know how freakin excited i am that youre back. best blogger ever. including perezy ;)

hope you feel better! drugs rule. i mean, D.A.R.E. to say no. yea yea, thats what i meant.

  34. Krista says:

YAY!! I can finally see your comments!

Glad to hear that your procedure went well and that Mom was there to help you out. Your girls are adorable and I enjoyed getting to know you better. Loved you answer to #18! LOL!!!

  35. Lindsey says:

Serrriously, I second what many others are saying- You already know you don’t need to be perfect all the time, so you enjoy that pumpkin spice flavoring cause it be TASTY. :) What a weird way to be complimented/insulted at the doctor (I take it that was her way of telling you she thought you were too thin) but I think she’s probably used to the typical chunk of an American. Keep up your good health :) !!

  36. Erin says:

Glad you’re back home with the Momz to help you with the crazies. ;)

    Rest thyself woman. And eat.

  37. BroccoliHut says:

I agree with what others have said–you look mighty fine after your procedure!
I totally do the same thing when I am recovering/sick–bring on the Project Runway:)

  38. K says:

    Number 6?! Oh yeahhhhh ;)

Love the sassiness in this post! I think you should have a tag for drug induced post because this is not a dumb post, it’s one of my favorites!

  39. Gena says:

Ahahaha. Why do I think that it’s so funny that you put “husband” after “last thing you did?” I think my humor threshold must be falling or something. It’s certainly much funnier than my answer, which was “the dishes.”

Also, veal milkshake line? Pretty awesome. You’re on a roll today, for a woman on drugs.

    xoxoox

  40. Rae says:

    WOOOHOOO!!!

You have no idea how much you made MY WEEK as Im browing through blogs and saw your guest post!! I am SO EXCITED to be able to read all about the “lil peas” again…..you are the most hilarious blogger I know! Thanks for coming back and sharing your skills with us :-D

  41. Hope you’re feeling better soon Sarah. If it makes you feel any better. I had toast and cereal this weekend as well as a pump or 2 of sugar free syrup in my cafe au lait. Sometimes, a girl just needs her pointless carbs and fake stuff. Shh, don’t tell on me. ;)

#18 made me laugh out loud.

  42. Three cheers for the good stuff! There’s a reason there are three cheers, by the say (see #3) :)

Love your girls, love your mom (that is so something my mom would say) and love you. I receive emails from University of Phoenix on a regular basis as well. I thought I was special :(
